So because it's a familiar site that we all know and love... You want to change it? :10: In the words of a victor meldrew type as befits my 55 years - "I don't like change" :) If it aint broke - dont fix it is my opinion. Anyway - another humble opinion :) how come we have to go looking for the emoticons now Glen? They used to be readily available at the side of the message box. I tend not to use them so much now unless I am aware something can be taken wrongly - so sometimes it comes out in a way I didn't intend. And some of us HAVE noticed - you change your eye every day?

Glen - So if we download them only - without installing...? For the benefit of us technophobes? :( And would that get the pages to load faster please?

No need to worry about the bushes on a car that new unless its had a lot of abuse on rough roads. No they dont come with the drop links. You'll benefit from a pair of thin pipe grips when removing the genuine ones as they dont have spanner flats on them to stop them rotating. The nuts will probably be smaller too - car manufacturers use common size nuts/bolt heads to minimise tooling during their construction.

My old 115 had a plug into some electrical device in the base of the sump. LOOKS similar shape as the photo of the oil level plug. Also - forgive me for this bloke thing - but I have many a time raised the car by driving it onto a concrete block. In fact - shame on me - I have used a block in front of two blocks (three in total each side) as a step up ;) That was before I made this thread: http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/i...amp;#entry51370

Hmm - seems to be some dodgy versions out there then?

I've not got adobe reader on this PC - so cant read the service schedule... I guess it's the 105km one? - thought we'd be able to get them in miles? Anyway - I dont think the fuel filter is a 70k replacement item?
-
without a fuller description It could be that none of us feel we can offer meaningfull help on this particular fault. This baulk is only occuring when under accelleration - what if you were not to accellerate while the fault is occuring - does it still occur? Is it auto or manual?
-
What a fully fledged grease monkey like you dont think you could do a service? I'ts easier than most things you have tampered oops messed - no - fiddled with in the last few months  Start with getting the service schedule from the FAQ's. A 70k one is easy peasy - honest It's all done in very small simple stages with little check boxes you can tick as you go on - and you can do them over a few days if needed.

Heater Takes To Long To Get Hot?
Dave-G replied to Tazbandit's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Well interestingly I've noted another wee little difference on my 05/05 reg to the older 3 I've had... The exhaust from the AUX heater faces forwards... which IIRC would place it's outlet somewhere in the area beneath the front passenger seat... where there is at least one rather large drain plug! slide that seat forwards and have a gander will you? I recall the air inlet for the heater is via a similar size pipe - drawing (clean) air from the nearside box section/sill ... if the burner is emitting smoke its feasible that some of that smoke may pass though that pipe into the sill and find its way into the cabin. This is unlikely though considering all the other incidents of faulty heater do not report this aspect. "heck i thought i had height problems. with seat fully back at at lowest setting its fine for me"... It would be now - but that is a 4" or so recent improvement in rake with a higher seat. -
I had this problem on my last zetec. All those items control switches are in the panel below the radio... Remove that panel and give the wiring loom a good rollicking - chances are you will find a dry joint/bad earth.

Well Guy's I have to admit the rebel in me - I too succumbed to the temptation to look where I was told not to look. Then I copied and pasted it here for other mere mortals to display their equally rebellious side  The hand is healing up nicely now thanks - I even have some special lubrication for it :D

Heater Takes To Long To Get Hot?
Dave-G replied to Tazbandit's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
No worries about the drink my friend - but could you clear up something for us please?... where was the smoke entering the car from? Anyway - 6'6" tall? It's just as well your Galaxy is a recent one. I have noted the extended seat rake available from a revised mounting/rail. I had to jack the drivers seat up on spacers in order to get comfy with my long legs on the older models. The extra height allowed me to use it in the low position to get far enough away from the pedals. I have done it on the my latest one too - but now dont need it fully extended. -

Heater Takes To Long To Get Hot?
Dave-G replied to Tazbandit's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Taz - That box under the car has a glow plug in it to burn diesel - which initially warms up the cooling water in your engine till it's hot enough to produce sufficient heat to warm the cabin. The smoke is the exhaust of incorrectly burnt diesel emitting from it. More to the point - have you now established you have a 3 year warranty? -
Mine smoked and dripped diesel too - till I changed the glowplug in it.

You can see some info on speed ratings on the link below - "w" is rated at 168 MPH - which the Galaxy cannot acheive. ratings I'm not sure if "trainees" are worthy of the search feature - so here is a link to my search results for "tyres" tyres

Footwell Floor Bulging Up....
Dave-G replied to mumof4's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
MO4 - the trick is to get them all out of the door and put them in the door card before replacing it. you then snap them back in with a small thump with the heel of your hand - or the side of a clenched fist. As for the 'Bulge... compare it to the other side of the car - should be a mirror image apart from pipework etc -

Use 'copperslip aka coppaslip between the METAL TO METAL surfaces. That is around the piston lip, the caliper 'feet, and the locating lugs of the caliper - and life will be filled with peace and harmony ^_^
