  1. just got a beast, 95a 850cca off a new merc tho no idea if it'll fit the tray as yet
  2. wouldnt worry about it as its a spare just use it as long as you keep below 30mph, think runflats, if you want to go the hog spray the middle yellow
  3. it needs the ign on to get out of lockout so just drive it about as normal with it on and it'll come up showing code
  4. not fail its mot as long as the milage is showing and the airbag light goes out. get a chance ill look at diagram for you. is this a mk2
  5. i got a spare set or rear door handles on mine, must admit my alarm works mint and its a cat1 never had a falsey and checked it not so long back sensors work mint. main thing i do is have nothing showing in car front or rear so the oxygen stealers cant see owt to break in for
  6. shouldnt have to take top off, and wouldnt advise it. use 2 spanners to make a T so ones on the valve and other for turning, il av a look at mine morro

  9. hi dont do nowt yet untill you get the car read off on a vw reader (yes vedub for abs and srs ford for engine)itll save you loads mucking about and guesswork, so to start it off till you get it read ill go for 1 steering wheel clockspring
  10. well thats supposed to happen it shows the brake bulbs are working duh! if there on you have a bulb out works with both stop and tail you cant check bulb unless you press brake or turn lights on

  12. had a new strut top bearing and rubber bush, since then my spring is twanging as tho the bearing siezed so is the lock nut too tight or slack please
  13. as above, you tried the single test yet, ie open shutting doors loadsa times my bet its the drivers door, when fixing wire btw dont rejoin the wire/s insert a new section in there and no crimping, if your good you can use the lap wrap start off wire over each other looks like a W twist one side clock other side anticlock very tight then insulate with good tape and no solder so no stress point

  16. open door and look at same level as handle theres a hole in hole a torx head, unscrew torx grap handle and push forward the rear will be able to lift out the hole
  17. cant be sticky vane as its a 90hp seatkid, i pulled my hair out on a sim problem found its the internal pipe in the ecu that goes to the map sensor all clagged up and sticky,while i was in there i put in a 4.7v zenner so turbo can be turned up and not limp car out blank your egr off with that ali and car will thank you for it had mine done since day i got it after decoking the inlet manifold

  20. its your earth connection that goes to the clocks for some reason its on the big round connector just to the rear and left of the battery on the engine. same happened to me when i done a head swap, if you look you can see the come out on the left of plug so check on other side or chop them and remake off to the earth bolt that is there
  21. yes ive blocked mine 4yrs ago soon as i got car. just pull pipe off and block it and thats it or go the whole hog and remove the lot as i did. if you can be arsed take the inlet manifold off and get rid of the old carbon using caustic soda and or set fire to carbon by soaking it in petrol. the caustic soda gives the manifold a nice blackish look but keep yor eye on it as it will be eaten away if left to long. read the instructions on bottle and use protective eye/hand stuff as it stings hands and will blind you
  22. hi as far as im aware it will fit but to get your 110hp power fit as u say the injectors and turbo, or whay not swap just the head over as their identical. be carefull taking injectors out as its best to use a slide hammer to pull them, sounds daft but i use vinegar overnight soaking round the injectors as it attacks the carbon. Forget bout wd40 and the like it dont work. also change the timing belt and pump
  23. going to take plunge and knock up a system but what do you do with the waste and byproducts after your bio has been taken off
  24. had thought of stat but its read max 1/4 gauge since day i got it 4 yrs ago, ill wack vagcom on morro after a run see what it says
