  1. right late reply here but noticed its only at low speed it happens but tried the test and after 3rd push it goes hard but does recover tho when it went other day it stayed hard untill i released pedal then it did recover so going to have to pull all the main pipes off as ive renewed all the small vac pipes.
  2. my god thats a lot of money for a multiturn pot, all it is, is a evry mod that tricks the pump to think that its cold so pumps in more fuel. I use one on my car (evry mod) with bigger nozzles and by god you know its working when its switched in but when on song the black smoke is well over the top as my rear door is covered in carbon. Now to all you disbelievers it works spot on the car runs sweet as a nut and ive had it on for 3 years but mines switchable on and off the amount of chav cars ive wasted makes up for the bit extra fuel i use when i scream pass them then choke them with fumes. yeah at long last get red of aftermarket hid's there a bloody nuisance blinding everybody as theres no beam pattern just a glare.
  3. same wheels as mine bolt straight on, car handles better and check your speedo mines 100% spot on now checking via gps. Small increase in noise and use 39psi all round. had the tyres screeching on roundabouts best mod ive done on car and smartens it up
  4. hi by memory the pump isnt coded, check for supply at the cut off valve on pump, if not take off the wire off and put a supply on it then try to start it up, when you turn key check see what door led is doing
  5. fault just appeared on me car, driving along and went for brakes and a solid pedal as no servo working so pulled up and its working so checked all the normal vac lines and all intact now its at least 4-5 times a day with no apparent reason why it happens the servo just stops working with a rock hard pedal then it works next time i use brakes so any thoughts on this fault.
  6. just normal resitance test you can see the start and ends of them
  7. hi got a mk1 tdi sharan so can i do the miles left on my dashboard please as im missing miles left tho not sure how accurate itll be as im sure that mpg is miles out, eg mine says im doing 69mpg but im only doing 75 to the tenner so summits up. got all the gear but not sure where to start
  8. cant work this one out as its vacuum so nowt should be up there, try taking other vac pipes off and see if any oil in them pipes
  9. ah as you didnt say its a pump duese engine take no notice of readings they mean nowt on pd's. as far as im aware you cant alter timing as the crank sensor tells ecu when to squirt. always tell us what type of ngine ie tdi 90,110,115,130,150 pd's put it in your signature
  10. righty-o how good you reckon the mpg display is as on a run im up in the 6o's but tonight on cruise contro on a1m at 50mph it hit 71.6mpg so is it truth or lies, btw my speedo is deadly accurate checked by gps and it reads on the dot since fitting my 17's allys
  11. get it on vag-com itll show any code faults and show the flow off the maf. disconnect it and do the usual drive if its worse mafs ok if no difference then probs could be the maf but id buy a cheapo vag com lead first and do all the readings on it there only a tenner of fleabay
  12. hi remove headrest fully and make small hole next to rest hole by pushing the rod all the way down its just perseverance and youl get it
  13. nope no oil the vac pump is at front of engine just to the left of the big connector. now think positive here its vacuum so its not coming off pump as it sucks not blows, the fluid your talking about get it tween your fingers and rub oil wont dissapear and keeps lubing where brake fluid creates a sort of friction feeling try with oil off dipstick the some brake fluid to know what im on about as its a good test. the turbo wont give oil to vacuem as its a servo on there no direct connection. i cant think anywhere on vac system where you would suck oil from considering the servo is under constant vacuum with enging running except when you press brake pedal and air rushhes in then back to vacuum
  14. yes its air rushing into the servo thats how they work so probs the insulation sound deadening or rubber grommet is slack. so perfectly normal as servos work or dont no in-between
  15. when you put belt on did you pull the pump pully clockwise as it alters by one tooth and stops you setting timing so your one tooth out hence why it wont drop down to lower setting
  16. dont need to remove it i just fed wire down back using a very stiff welding rod to guide first when i fitted some
  17. best stuff to buy is K-seal works mint, got a rad leak 3 years ago and its still going strong with it
  18. fitted on the top hose half way to top of rad normally pointing downwards, held in place with a c clip
  19. thanks just tried my decoders and its same 1022 so now i know it works
  20. what ever you do dont go to that local dealer as his a tosspot as he knows nowt about vw engines, the job is very simple and takes no more than an hour to do with simple tools. if you lived near sundeland ive got a tame diesel fitter does job for
  21. well its a 90hp engine to start with for other people. have you checked all the vacuum pipes thats where id start as i believe these dont suffer vane jamming as its a normal turbo fitted
  22. dead easy to get head off, trick is too slacken off from mounts and tilt engine forwrds to getthe head and turbo off easy. put jack under the engine tho
  23. funny just done one yesterday and the lock mech was siezed had to take panel off inside and get at lock to fix it
  24. ah so now ive got another toy never new the reset slowed it down as never tried that but will deffo try it just to play. many thanks
