u need to get a scan done and check for codes before jumping in

plug is in the cowling just use vagcom to enable it its about here somewhere if not search web for it took me 15mins start to finish on my 99 tdi

not sure what hp engine you have but get your ecu read also did you change the pipe inside the ecu as that pipe goes sticky internally so when vacum applied sucks in and sticks together slowly releases after shoet while. ecu behind your clocks easy to work on once out your map sensor is there as well. your describing a fault my mate had and thats how we fixed it

hey youve got a working aux heater, makes a world of differnce use your rear heater for faster inside heat

hi bit flat plate for the end of cam, the pump you can use a bolt or drill bit etc. As for the crank time the car up on the timing mark and dont touch after that whatever you do Dont take the crankshaft bolt off thats the 19mm by memory as its a one use stretch bolt just take off the big pully by the 4 allen keys

try jump leads on car direct to battery see what happens if it still clicks put ground (black) direct to engine try again if works you got fault battery to engine earth fault. if it dont work live thick red from battery to starter motor broke

they work but vagcom is the best as it allows for a major amount more info. i use a simple vag tester for fault codes but vagcom for info ie timing,maf testing etc

prob coz the engine is at tick over and water not pumping thru heater seems ok to me as instant hot air s soon as you blipped throtle. wouldnt worry about it

different kind of heater so simple terms you cant, you have a water heater what your after is a hot air heater blower

hi its a different heater, whats in the alhambra as in all of the range is a aux water heater what you looking for is the hot air blower type. try aving a look for erbaspacher heaters on ebay ex ambulance or something similar

hi all well ive had my 1.9tdi afn for 2 yrs now and finally i cant stands it no more. the engine noise is driving me nuts i know its normal for these engines to rattle and clatter ive heard a few to check mine but has anyone put extra sound insulation in cab area and if so did it do anything before i waste my time and money doing it. many thanks laurie

head is deffo the same i just put one on my afn, the part numbers are the same cast into head

flashing heater indicator could be anything you need to get the ecu read with vag com or a handheld reader. got my handheld off ebay and works a treat cheaper than paying for someone to read it plus its there when you want it

i know where theres a full set with switches was thing of putting them on mine if wiring is in car if not il let u know how much they are
