  1. mines luke warm and my aux heater is working fine , i get the smoke screen thingy with the rear heater , its embarassing somtimes , esspecially in a petrol station when it decideds to smoke off :rolleyes: anyway have you tried your run on pump or your thermostat , my prob might be one of those. :lol:

  3. where would i find the control relay and things to check , its only happened since i took the top hose of my rad off , the code 18080 means fan control circuit fault/short , down to earth , its strange it should do this fault when ive got things wet from draining the top hose i believe the run on pump comes from the feed for the fan control circuit.
  4. it was fine until i changed my radiator now ive got loads of problems , a leaky top hose and this run on pump its driving me crazy.the top hose needs a new o ring i think.
  5. if you turn the ign lights on and back off again you will here a click from under the bonnet then the bosch pump should run on , it did on my 115 gal , but now after a coolant change it doesnt for some reason , all i get is the click then the cooling fans kick in for a split second , is this normal?
  6. i think the 18080 fault is the fan motor relay circuit is it not with the orange scan thingy ive got , when i turn the ign on i can usually hear the bocsh pump kick up for a few seconds then goes off , now i cant hear it at all , plus i found the exp plug loose and it had run coolant onto the plug not goo , all dry now and the fault has gone , but this bosch pump not running worries me , looks an easy job but how can i test this?
  7. If you try and find the remote locking module, or does your car have infared sensors in the roof near the interior lights, the key you need is printed on the central locking control module, I don't know where that is sorry

  9. ive got 2 spare 5wk4 433 92 mhz 790/97/98 keys from a seat alhambra , ive coded them to my galxy so i know they work.
  10. hi after all my new rad work , ive got a hot coolant light on my dash from start up not when the engine is warm its there all the time and beeps 3 times to say theres a fault , ive plugged my code reader (orange one off fleebay) and the codes 18080 , ive got vag-com on my laptop and thats saying 01189 front air distrubution flap motor ,whats that,is it the bosch little pump behind the coolant fill up bottle? , i cant here it running now and i did last week , usually when i turn the ign on and off again it kicks in , all its doing now is i can here a relay click the the 2 front rad rand kick up for a split 2nd , does your gal do that? ive got to get it back on the rd next sat so im just stumped at the mo , thanks
  11. hi after fitting my new rad the quickfit top hose wont seal , ive taken the o ring out and it looks fine , im hoping the new rad isnt to blame im not going through removing it again :)
  12. hi as you know the normal mk 2 galaxy steering wheels go all funny due to heat ect ect , ive just bought a leather one from a ghia , how easy/hard are they to swap , im putting my airbag back onto it.
  13. just an update , ive finally done it inbetween work and kids commitments , ive built it all back up including a new condenser , i got both for £202 rad and condenser with dryer from euro car parts , my mate had some g12 to refil , only problem is now should i have replaced the o rings in the quick release hoses because the top one is dripping very slightly , im hoping i can do these without another strip down
