  1. start with checking the wires in the rubber gaitors in the doors.
  2. try tying a small magnet to some string and GENTLY push it down the vent?
  3. dreeaded broken wire syndrom - anyone had the same? i would say a good portion of members have had this problem,:D check the wires 1st before changing any switches :lol:
  4. whereabouts in the south east are you? are your brake lights working?
  5. try doing the onboard diagnostic check to see if any codes have been stored. also might be worth phoning fords and asking what the latest software update is for your current car,again iirc diag test should be able to tell you what version your running?.

  7. welcome to the forum, your going to have to take the door card off and see if 1 of the window clamps has come undone and dropped down within the door. also i expect the cable has overun within the motor assembley,if this is the case then its either a visit to a scrappy or buy a repair kit from ebay. hth.

  9. are you using internet explorer?? there does seem to be a problem with that program,try using something like firefox. but also it might be that you havnt reached the magic number of 5 posts to veiw the faqs/pictures.
  10. read up on broken wires/siezed motors etc.theres info in the faqs and recent posts on the subject. i reckon this is your problem.

  13. yes as above i agree,dont give the buggers any reason to give themselves a get out.you have a warrenty for a reason.USE it,so what if it annoys them.

  15. my old 03 ghia had them in the front,and like seatkid the mounts were already in the floor for 6 or 7 seat variation.
  16. blind stag m8. what i was told when i had 1 fitted to the wifes smax was that it had to be programed by law so that the sounder would work.
  17. iirc its the same on the smax,and will need to be programed by fords using there SPECIAL system,or ask at your local indy towbar fitters.
  18. have you checked the motor/spool for overun? if the cables are stuck fast then iirc it wont move at all.but you will get a noise.

  20. i wouldve asked the garage to SORT IT OUT BEFOREHAND, but as 'CHROME' has said,but i can guess the reply :lol: thats why the garage didnt sort it in the 1st place.the cost.

  22. buy a 5ltr bottle,and fill until its where it should be on the dipstick.
  23. follow the instructions on here on replacement,i did and managed it,AND THATS AMAZING IN ITSELF.:lol:
  24. er didnt someone mention this :lol: so if it wasnt you,who else has access to the keys,because THEYVE DROPPED THE BLOODY THING. reason why im asking is,try to retrace your steps and attempt to find it,WILL SAVE YOU MONEY IF YOU DO. cany understand how NONE of your keys managed to start it???????????? does that mean none of them have the CHIP IN????????????? GLAD your now sorted m8.
