have you taken the switch out and tried to resite it?

long shot i know,but when i bought my old mk1 i paid a visit to my local fords to see if it had missed any recals. guess what it had,for a brake servo/master cylinder work,all free. might be worth an ask.:)

let them sort it out,wouldnt let oh near it until he is a bit calmer other wise it might cost you a lot more then its going to cost you. spraying the handle with some wd40 might of worked,greasing the catch might of been better,attacking it with a screwdriver OH DEAR ,but it sounds like the cable/catch was coroded inside,taking it out and soaking it in oil sometimes frees it up.

do a search on here for the info on fitting,iirc there are detailed instructions that have been posted yonks back.

just read some more info BUT apparently your run on pump may well behave the same as fitted on the 115bhp versions.

hi and welcome to the forum, did you buy this from a dealer or privatly? if dealer phone them up and tell them to sort it out.

does your booster work correctly?i:e doesnt spool up and shut down?do you get constant heat from the heater into the cabin?. if all ok and going by madbaz's reply then as he has said could well be all working correctly.

go for a drive,turn engine off if you cant hear it then give it a feel(ooer)if it stops straight away then as already said brushes need replacing look in the faqs,instructions can be found there on replacement.

maybe try deleting all phones from car and try starting afresh,then scan for new devices,i too have a htc,and on my smax it sometimes drops out where it is paired but when recieving a call will not actually connect :blink: :(.

Hi Gregers, yeah just up the road, no and no, mines a silver one and a simple LXI TDI took a chance and got it locally from Findon via, Fleebay, nice price so treated it to a service and a cambelt change, its just done a trip to cornwall last weekend, fantastic drive, just wondered,i sold mine to a dealer in brighton.wouldve been nice if someone on here ended up with it.:)

yeah :) designed in the best possible taste. but then again on a mk1 you do have to change the speaker covers every week coz youve put your foot through them again,:lol::lol:

halfords do 1.well it fitted my mk2.

just bear in mind the tyres you have fitted are probaly xl.the space saver your thinking of haveing most probably wont,if using 1 and an incident occurs then you may find you are not insured?
