  2. you have been asked to use the search button ITS A HANDY TOOL TO USE,and have been requested to stop posting threads on the same subject. by doing so you will not get an answer any quicker,infact it will stop members from helping you. ANY MORE AND I WILL DELETE YOUR POSTS. and as FOR THE RUDE BOY COMMENT,think you need to look at some of your replys before posting A STUPID COMMENT LIKE THAT. especially to a long standing member like seatkid.
  3. check wires in door gaitor for breaks,common problem.
  4. have you checked the brake fluid?
  5. sounds like you have suffered the dreaded over run within the motor assembly, you will have to take the door card off and remove the regulator(frame)and with 3 pairs of hands remove the motor, be aware inside is a plastic spool the wire is wrapped round this,alternating. i bet this has stripped and bunched the wire up. you can buy repair kits from ebay,or source another regulator from a scrappy.

  7. nice car :rolleyes:, well i had 1 fitted to the wifes smax by eurotow in eastbourne and had no problems(detachable witter), i dont know wether he has the ford ids system?but he had no problems with mine. i would say maybe there programing kit might not be compatible??

  14. IS IT STARTING THEN CUTTING OUT???? if so then it sounds like youve lost your pats chip from the key when you changed the batteries.

  19. well if IT HAS LOCKED IN THE PAST,i would be investigating the wires in the rubber door gaitor,take a look in the faqs in the tech section of the forum to glean info on what to do/repair.

  21. hi and welcome to the forum, what is the temp gauge saying when you have the heater on?
  22. and if you had been using your aircon,it wouldve been making a hell of a racket,mine went the same way and the noise was bloody terrible. as nik has said,but on investigating your spline on your compressor if it is ok and intact,then you could try sourcing a compressor from ebay cheaply and rob the clutch off of it, this is what i ended up doing,i posted my findings of repairing it on here so do a search on it, as for driving without your under tray,BEST NOT.as the power steering is located at the bottom somewhere when you hit a puddle it can affect the steering,common problem. again do a search on this for info.
  23. im probably wrong seatkid,but iirc it was because they recommended the wrong brake fluid/or the longevity of the change of said fluid,again iirc they changed more then the cap or spring. OP,go to the ford etis site,type in your reg and see if there are any outstanding recalls? or pay a visit to your local dealer and ask them to do a check. no harm in asking,dont ask dont get.
