yes.as said if the aircon isnt turned on then your heating system works just like a standard setup. but its probably worth running your aircon once a month for 20 mins or so.

info on reprogramming to the central locking is found in the faqs, to reprogram to the pats system requires a visit to the stealers or a good mobile locksmith.

Can I read that the lack of activity in the MarkIII forum indictes that this version is reliable? at the moment 'maybe' but as these cars are now finding 2nd hand homes no doubt it will become a lot more active.

have you checked around the pollen filter? this question has cropped up quite a few times,try doing a search and see what comes up?

iirc there are 3 layers to the fuse board.take a looksie in the faqs in the technical section of the forum.

i have a smax basically the same,mine had 100k on a 08,1 previous owner.when i bought mine.it has full ford history. afaik the timming belt on the tdi's need to be changed at 125k,so if you do decide to go down this route of buying 1,make sure this has been done.

this is probably ok on a non dpf car.but what happens if your car has 1.these require a BLOODY good thrash to burn the crap off/out of them.

if you hold the key in the lock/unlock postion for more then a couple of seconds then this will engage the global opening/closing. as yours is a 03 then i would say yes it should have remote locking on it. somewhere on the forum should tell you how to get the CORRECT details for your car,for the fob. once you have the details then you can buy the fob from the likes of ebay. oh and welcome to the forum.

try checking for broken wires in the door gaitors?

well it could be simple as youve had the keys in your pocket and activated your global opening/closing.iirc if any of the doors are not open it will relock it self?????????? might be worth trying this to see?

I think it was added to the S-max and Galaxy when they did the facelift late 2010. yep i think you are correct.

well it appears i havnt got that function on my smax,but on the wifes 1 it has a basic version. so it must be a new addition ford have added??? i will do a bit of digging on this 1 i think :rolleyes:
