  1. :D Prap's the spoilt boys are "daddies boyz" :D Try a vw caravelle....or a double deka :D
  2. The winding mechanism in these cars is a "braided galvanised cable" which seems prone to eventual metal fatigue, depending on its level of use. :D The driver side usually fails first as it's the most used, particularly if the driver smokes. :D :D The door card removal is extensivly covered elsewhere in this forum...search for it, but it's a job that I would leave to the dealer :D
  3. :D slide the middle row seats fully aft, and remove the rear 2 seats........if that aint enough room then your passengers are 9 feet tall? :D
  4. SEE VEHICLE TYPE
  5. To show how many bonks the driver's had in it....innit?
  6. I think there is, or was, a 5 seater option with captain seats that alledgedly swivel
  7. Why dont you start a KA forum?
  8. You have miss-understood gemineye, :) The second battery would be a requirement to operate the booster heater in below 5 degree winter conditions. this is also referred to as the aux heater...many threads on this topic if you do a search
  9. Welcome piperdog, you will get a much more qualified answer if you add the age to your vehicle details.......the answer depends on this
  10. " ;) if the bulb is twisted 90 degrees." :D I think he means 180 degrees
  11. :o so has the law faled to keep up with technology? :o :o Or SADDO's

:o hmm, :( perhaps if vehicle details were made a "required field" of membership it would help to clarify what model of ford car is being discussed  ;) It's not the first time a GALAXY OWNING member has or appears to have offerred help and advice to what can justifiably be assumed to be a galaxy ;) sure, John could have looked longer and harder at the available information, but I do feel that SOME thing could be put in place, even if it's just so that members dont loose time looking at what is of no interest to them, and worse, feeling a bit embarrassed at their understandable mistake :( "This is probably one of the largest Ford Galaxy portals with users from all over the world visiting the site on a regular basis. Our community forum is constantly buzzing with activity with users posting their experiences and thoughts of the Ford Galaxy as well as generally chatting in the general Forum area." The above is one of the first things i read when i first visited this GALAXY forum :(

;) So... is this basically a galaxy forum ....but with other fords under its wing?  That explains a lot actually, when I posted a question for my brother (where i stick over valve ?'typo included) I was sure I'd put it in the mondeo section, and felt a bit silly when it showed up in the galaxy bit :(

 I think someone pressed the wrong button ? ;) Fredt ;) http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/Forum/index.p...324&p=8773&st=0 ;) .............This DOES Imply that this is a ford GALAXY forum mate?
  15. ;) Er..I'm into my 3rd shalaxy, and ner come across this one mate ;) I'd feel inclined to wonder why someone had moved the loom and look for damage although you will see many problems on this forum, they are mostly minor niggles or missunderstandings..or even plain curiousity  That said, I usually buy about 18 months old(40% less
  16. ;) Thats a lazy style of reply too for you SA  ;) so....back to the question? I know I'm sounding persistent,BUT,having seen your informative opinions on other matters...an you avin a tiptron.... ;) an been round the block ;)

Well chaps ;) :o I'm a galaxy owner ,logged into the GALAXY owners forum, only to find that it's slipping into a general ford forum.... ;) I dont really want or need to know about "GENERAL MOTORS" ;) ;) If it's going to become used as a ford forum, rather than a galaxy forum, please tell us so that we can look elsewhere for a GALAXY FORUM ;) YET ANOTHER BREAKAWAY FORUM ON THE HORIZON? OR WILL SOMEBODY IN CHARGE "TAKE CHARGE" PS: I did'nt donate via paypal to a general ford forum ;) does this mean I get a warning? ;)
  18. "I have had 35mpg shown on the fuel computer" was that downhill?
  19. B) Thanks guy's ;) I guess most of ya still on nolidaze
  20. No experience of this, BUT, :o Granny might get 30k miles out of them in an AUTO :o :o p1948040, Is that male or female? :o BEAR IN MIND THAT THERE IS LITTLE ENGINE BRAKING IN AUTO'S  A thread i started a few days ago asks a question pertinent to this, few answers there though.
  21. Fredt; I cant explain HOW it does it, but the application of brakes "resets" the throttle to (idle probably?) as a safety factor, much in the same way as it would cancel cruise control
  22. "racing, taxi work etc." :) oh, dont taxi drivers know how to drive or somat? :D
  23. Tigger,You probably need to show that it has been serviced in accordance with their service shedule,or at least that it's been to A ford dealer for its "alledged" services :)
  24. :) Evss, change both by 60,000 :D :D Fredt :D Thanks for vin code,my 02 gal was built 12/01 :D
  25. :D I'm really getting into this tiptronic gearbox now :D Due to almost non-existent engine breaking, I have developed a habit of slipping into tiptronic down gear mode for rapid/controlled de-celeration. :D :) But some of my mates say I should not use it for slowing down, their reason being that worn discs/pads is preferable to knacked g-box/seals :D :D I think that if there was a conflict,or danger of damage that "something" would be done to prevent that occuring? :D any ideers?....
