  1. 15 views - ZERO ENQUIRIES (AT TIME OF REPLY)<_< .....HMM, MOST OF US SEEM HAPPY WITH OUR POWER EXPECTATIONS D J <_< Edit: 38 viewings ...still no enquieies. . . .39 if we include the buyer who was presumably unimpressed?
  2. HELLO? Where we at with this thread john?
  3. This sounds like the mass airflow meter (MAF) problem, do a search on that subject. Welcome to the Forum. You will get shedfulls of info on here
  4. Mine dont jump unless I hurtle over an unseen hole or somat, which has to count as hardly surprising.
  5. You'll need an oil filter changing tool. This is A "socket" 76mm A/F with 14 flutes. there are pressed steel ones available individually @ about
  6. "you mean moi"? :o AHA.. .yea...missed the wise cracks and info :D Nah...2.5/150.... it'd have too many 5's in it! ;) All the best in - spain was it? B)
  7. Welcom to the site SEATKID,you seem very well informed, and have appeared at a time when another very well informed member has gone noticeably quiet. He also has a seat, albeit somewhat newer and more powerfull than your's  It's life jim, but not as we know it
  8. As Per Fredt's advice, while looking under front pass.seat, look closely for any signs of current OR PAST dampness. This may look like "icing sugar" deposits around the terminals and fixing posts of the parking sensor control box. a good clue to wether there may be current dampness is:does your rear wash actually wash?if it dont:dont keep trying  Then look up threads on rear wash/wipe.
  9. I ran a seat allhambra without an undertray...t'was fine in the summer but lethal in the wet! I have no idea if this is a problem for petrol galaxies, but as evsy's is an oil burner it IS dangerous! :( be afraid!! every time the off-side tyre hits water it will spray on to your power steering belt and pulley . . . . . . .and the result is zero power steering when you most likely need it most :P . Be very afraid!! Have you noticed that most puddles are on corners? Visit a scrapyard if you must, my old seat one is now on my post 2k galaxy,so I know the old fits the new.
  10. I dont get my ghia till next week, but it looks like there is less choice of where you direct airflow with the climate control/blower supplied in the ghia than "lowlier" models. Looking at the manual . . .and monitoring the many posts on this site, it looks as though (demisting wise) the ghia system is a downgrade from the others. In fairness, it has the WHOLE car to provide for . . but at least the driver got good all round vision with the non climate control  Perhaps somebody who has upgraded can comment?
  11. Any chance of telling us a bit more about your car DD? Like is it tdi for example? 23 years old? any clue at all
  12. Well said fredt
  13. Have kack-fit done any work on your car previously? . .like tracking? . .I ask this because a national firm with a name like this kacked up my front tracking, which I only discoverred several weeks later after noticing the inner tread getting low.It seems "there was a fault in the laser thingy tool" Another branch corrected the problem foc. . .but the area manager who was going to do something about the loss of tread never rang back.
  14. Well, bear in mind that I'm cornish . . .and I've never had a petrol shalaxy, BUT I was under the impression that the aux. heater was fitted to DIESEL variants 'cos they're so fuel efficient that there i'snt enough waste heat generated by the engine to warm the water that provides internal heating in a reasonable amount of time. what this boils down to is: I dint think the petrol's had them :D
  15. This is on my mate's R reg Sharan. SO . . . Oscar is correct = the one's he was supplied for a mk1 dont fit his mk2  and everyone else is correct in that the doors are the same, except ME! FORD STAFF ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY HIGHLY TRAINED . . .NOT  In conclusion . . .The ones Oscar was supplied with are apparantly NOT for a galaxy
  16. GIMMEE STRENTH! SOMEBODY at ford needs a good talking to  Miss-informed would be an understatement. I photo'd my offside deflector before trying it on a mates sharan taxi . . .It fits perfectly, see photo's ( I dont know how to get 2 together-sorry it's going to be 2 reply's)
  17. Now then boyo  That sounds like a welsh name you have  What else have you backed into a wall? welcome to the forum. It's a bit tongue in cheek sometimes . . . Maybe it would have been ok to back it into a wall again to save removing the back panel.
  18. Well, that SEEMS to be the case! . . . . . .HOWEVER..I was in cd bramal's and sandicliffe ford this week looking for a front parking lampholder[none of them had it-nor ford warehouse]. BOTH places confirm that they can get deflectors for the old model, but not the new model! I'm begining to wonder if the SUPPLIERS have wrongly identified a "difference" and send ones that actually fit another car  It's almost worth removing mine a few day's earlier than previously mentioned just to settle the debate.
  19. Jukka: you cannot be serious  ...mobile ghetto blaster morons usually drive small hatches that are worth less than the sound systems within. A galaxy would surely nack your street cred
  20. I rang ford customer services today to see if I could obtain replacement books...... They gave me a premium line number: 0906 5533447 @
  21. OOOOOOPs 290mm thanks Fredt
  22. welcome to the site Keith. My "clicking" sounds in my alhambra door[when window stopped working] turned out to be the winding mechanism wire had snapped. It looks like galvanised straining wire, and more importantly-complicated when we consider that we dont see it intact[before the break] to figure out it's path over the various pulleys it fits.I'm also not very dexterous these days:so left it to the seat dealership. I cant remember the cost
  23. Ok, so noboby with a mk1 galaxy wants to measure theirs at the mo. I'm keeping my mk11 deflectors when I replace my zetec next week....I'll try them against a mk1 and photo it before fitting to my newer tiptronic ghia   I had no idea they'd be so rare
  24. I did a deal at motorhouse 2000 ltd today. 02/02 galaxy ghia auto tdi, steel blue,8k mls. They dropped the price of this car by
