:huh:I was about to stand back in amazment :o  Then I noticed you dont seem to have a vehicle/dont wish to divulge any vehicle details/cant be bothered/dont know how to, :D so we can safely assume the experience you allege dont involve a galaxy?

I went to change the front pads today...doh they dont fit! despite having pads for 16" wheels. It seems pattern pads are just reaching the market for 02 models, and my tdI actually needs 2.8v6 pads that were changed/modified for the year 02 :D anybody know how much 02 model ford ones are? p'raps they are fitting beefier ones to auto's?

If it's an auto ...yup

Any chance of an itssy bitsy clue as to what part of the WORLD YOU LIVE IN? -
I had this on my last zetec, 'twas a dry joint on one of the plugs behind the panel, It would shift if i (say...) came off a kerb too quick either remove the panel and flex the looms....or whack the side of the console smartly...you'll find it quite durable :(
-
:( My mate buzz say's you could ask somebody in: www.gammasectorfour@planetzorg.com :D :D apparantly they do a plug in for the laser device he uses on his forearm :(

115 Tdi - Lovely New Oil At Service
Dave-G replied to Taliska's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
:( I was "billed" for 5W-30 at my last service, and queried it...... :D Reply: It's the correct (5W-40) oil, but It's much easier for our billing dep't to simply list 1 oil, with regards to computer programing for invoicing purposes, and few IT programmers would know which oil goes in a particular engine. :D The above is not word for word, but what it boils down to. It makes sense that fully skilled motor mechanics ar'nt wasted on invoicing purposes I s'pose, and the engine aint fell out, so I guess it's a feasible answer :( -
I hear what you're saying nimrod, and I may be barking up the wrong tree, but I have seen past threads to the effect that head units from galaxy are "longer or deeper" than some other fords, and their fronts may be shaped differently I think Ka for example has a curve on its front to blend in with the "sculpture" of the surrounding area? :( hmm, I see the cause of confusion here...I refer to 53ghia's offer EDIT 23:45.....It's also easy to assume you run a shalaxy nimrod, given that you have one on display? but iirc you run 3 motors? :D

you sure the galaxy one fits fiesta?
-
 I cant find any of the documentation on that [twas 4 yrs ago], And I'm sorry but I cant remember how much it cost in total, although I seem to recall having to buy an entire linkage set at about

Welcome 5 necks  do a search for MAF -
:P All is forgiven...to both nicks! Yup I was out at night at the time, yup it was raining, as an emergency measure I held the steel ball into the rubber socket with a rubber band...I KNOW that sounds iffy if you are unfamiliar with this coupling type ,but the load path was in a different direction to the laggie band. I kept forgetting about this in the dry , used it again several times in rain untill eventually getting it fixed at main dealership 'cos it looked too complicated for me

:( Jeez...another member who thinks we are so clever we can determine his vehicle details from zero information...so I guess the best answer is no vehicle details = no answer :( I had it happen on my 98 SEAT Allhambra 1.9 TDI, but nick might mean an MG Midget,or maybe a Nissan primera or even a Wartbug Knight! :( B) well there loadsa diffrent cars it could be

:D That sounds like the clutch slip prob's I had.... resulting in new g-box[warrantee] :D [view my posts] however thats not to say that it would have been neccasary to do a complete replacement if i had taken it to an auto-box specialist rather than the main dealer....which I WOULD have done if i dint have a warranty  -
 "Fords own recyling/breakers yard" EH? :D

Power Time Limited Controller
Dave-G replied to MrT's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
When I bought my last tdi the stereo would only operate for 1 hour at a time....for the very reason that you describe....a phone had been linked to the stereo! however, the local ford dealer "put back the correct fuse" to allow ignition on/off the 1 hour facility is still there, If I turn on the stereo after turning off the ignition B) SO..somewhere there IS a 1 hour duration feed B) butidontknowwhere B) Like many other members, you have omitted the age of your gal, I dont know if this applies to MK1's
