  1. Well you can rule out a 90 if its a uk ghia model, and if you'd revealled it's age we might have been able to rule out a 130 bhp too Surely you have a registration document?
  2. :o you're not s'possed to fry easter eggs with it ...SILLY
  3. That avatar looks familiar nims :)
  4. :( Well DANSIC, that generated a lot of hot air!
  5. ;) I see somebody else likes to keep us guessing about their vehicle details :D :D Is it an an allegro? :D Maybe Sid found somewhere to hibernate :D
  6. B) Dansic,we cant really evaluate your reply as you have failed to declare your model (in vehicle type) (why the secrecy?) or tyre size B) has it got steel or alloy wheels? There is a major price difference between popular sizes [over produced/price war etc] and rare sizes............ B) I doubt you got new 215/55/16 at those prices B)
  7. Are you anywhere near Leicester coops?
  8. B) "9/12 old "....Wassat? B) The newer models seem more RIGID than the pre-facelft model, I'm still trying to decide if your 9/12 means it's nine and a half! ;) you could note this in your vehicle details so members are better informed to help - or in my case ,sometimes be sarcastic B) :P I'd be a very happy chappie if I had a nine and a half-er B)
  9. You might do better to look at breakers yards, but I think you'll then also need need to change the interior plastics to match :( probably better to find a gal with an acceptable colour scheme, makes you wonder what some people will accept huh? :o
  10. :( It's almost the right place :o
  11. :( Well guy's I decided to cut the hole (again) :o
  12. Ouch, that hurt my eyes!
  13. :) slow down on traffic islands and turn the stereo up :)
  14. <_< "ages to get the discs off , lots of heat and big Hammers " was that 'big mick?
  15. Thanx guy's <_<
  16. B) Well I rang Ray at the first dealers today. <_< :D They have taken one off a new car for me  EDIT:When we consider that I cant prove which dealer lost it,I think that was very generous of them..........no doubt they'll get one for the new car at a later date. B) Now the dilemma....do I just cut an access hole in this one again( in which case it might appeal to the next mechanic that works on it,if he or a mate has a galaxy),OR cut the end that dont protect any belts from water spray off - leaving about one third of it to "undercover the belts" (in which case its easy to fit, provides access to oil drain plug and looks a bit inneffective so nobody would fancy nickin it for their car!) :D Could someone with an import galaxy check to see if the two rear fixings for the undertray have been used?...mine dint have any - nor the studs that they fit over. I wern't really concerned at their absence as it seemed to support itself ok, but if I do cut it I will need to support it's inboard end
  17. It'll use bucket loads of fuel mate
  18. click on this link richard http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/Forum/index.p...senger+footwell
  19. Ah, plenty paving blocks then
  20. Thanks for the info NIMROD, clearly there are differing views on this subject, and I can see both sides of this debate. :o I think it partly depends on what car we drive  :o what do you drive ?:o
  21. nice one NIMS
  22. Thanks guy's, I have now visited both dealers,Shorn wernt to be found at the 1st franchise, the workshop manager came out to see me. He was a very pleasant plausible and professional gent, concerned, and pointed out that SOME recent fords had dispensed with the undertray, the mondeo for example, could I leave it with him for a day or two?....(gladly), but it would be unlikely to be found, and would have been 'in the way' if it had been left there,I can agree with that 'cos it's so bulky. Dealer 2 said that they spoke to every person(including the test driver who 'connected up' the gearbox in the first instance, all state that it has not been seen, and more importantly, some noticed its absence, asked the guy who had the car before them and concluded that it wasn't there on arrival. In addition, prior to entering their service reception I checked their rubbish skips - with it being such a recent repair. They too will get in touch if its found. It looks like I'll have to buy a new one, priced at
  23. Huh,I just got my galaxy back from a local ford main dealer with a nice shiny new auto gearbox fitted ;) I have found it has'nt got the lower engine tray fitted,so I rang the dealer concerned who says there wasnt one on the car when it went in to their dealership....fair enough I thought 'cos the car had been into a rival ford dealership for new drive shafts 4 weeks prior to this so maybe they have it? A call to that dealership produced "we aint got it, aint found one, and the new shape galaxy doesnt have them fitted at all, nor mondeo's for that matter,in fact none of them do" Could anybody with a GALAXY TDI (115) confirm that theirs has the cover?Mine certainly had a cover, into which I had jigsawed an access hole to the sump plug the day after I took delivery of it while doing an oil change (It had no service history and I prefer a 5000 mile oil change interval rather than the 10000) It makes me wonder how good that dealership actually is when they can claim such tosh! They're a multi-franchise outfit, although that branch has always been ford (but their name suggests they sell CD's) While I waited for (Shorn) to search the workshop the "phone advertising was going on about trained technicians and professional staff" In case you wonder why I did'nt use the SAME dealer (loyalty etc),It had to go back a second time to complete their repairs, and I had discovered the 2nd dealership "works with" my warranty co.
  24. "but if you want just galaxy/sharan/alhambra site's there are a few" ;) Well ,this WAS just a shalaxy site when I became a member ;), before the very bold, loud and proud, stand alone, single, individual, well defined word GALAXY was shrunk in size to allow space to write,in my opinion, a diminished: ford GALAXY. The point I'm not very good at making is that there is now less emphasis that this is,or ever was, a GALAXY FORUM..which might explain its success in the way that, say, a capri owners club might draw capri members that would'nt join a general ford owner club Perhaps the word GALAXY and the three photo's of GALAXIES should be replaced to imply this is becoming a 'general' ford site? Yes I feel strongly about this, but thats the whole point of a forum I think?,and am I alone in wondering why some of our most helpfull contributers seem to have politely reduced their input?
