  1. Hi Andy, You said she did not know she was being recorded, if you did not inform her of the recording it is not permissable as evidence in a court of law ! Radiotwo
  2. Hi Again hard to explain, but on some of the newer cars they have a system that uses a central comuter to run the diffrent things in the car, and (in simple terms) it has a wire running round the car for the power and the computer tells the light (or what ever) to turn on etc. http://www.aa1car.com/library/can_systems.htm Have a read of this, bit heavy reading but might explain better than I can. but to get to your problem your radio might need a "can-bus" adaptor to talk to the computer to turn on or off the radio, I think last time I saw one for sale it was about
  3. Has the car got can-bus ? Radiotwo
  4. Hi Sparky Where did you have it fitted ? I would have thought they would hve done that as part of the job. I have just had cruise fitted to my Fabia, and when I asked the price they asked which ecu was fitted, I haad a print out of a vag-com scan, and told them the part number, and the guy said thats fine, and would be so much, but if it was a diffrent one, then the price would be double and needed a new ecu ! I assume the same may be true for the Galaxy what year is it ? I have got Vag-com, but don't get over there too often, but hope someone a bit closer might be able to help! Hope that is of some help Radiotwo
  5. It poss a lack of getting rid of the dirt round the edges of the arches, and cills etc. Regular washing and get the hosepipe and blast round the arches etc The dirt holds the water and then starts to rust Radiotwo

  7. Hi there - thanks for that, although my remote seems to have one battery (definitely nothing underneath it!) and both remotes went wrong at exactly the same time, which suggests it's the receiver. Also the car is now working OK on both fobs, whereas yesterday it wouldn't work with either, so it seems like it's definitely a receiver fault. I doubt the garage can repair an intermittent fault - I'll take it in anyway, even though it's now working, in case it's a known problem. Is the car parked in the same place when you have problems? Could be local RF thats blocking the signal Radiotwo

  9. Hi Gary I am not too sure with the Seat, but I guess the power diffrence is down to the ECU and not the engine its self. So having a diffrent engine fitted, unless its say a 2.5 etc then I assume its what ever it was when new. Radiotwo
  10. Hi Dave Has been said it could be switches, but you said you took it back and regassed, so gives impresion of leak, but did they not do a vaccume on the system, which will show a leak Radiotwo
  11. As seatkid says it don't work It wont accept your 0 poll Radiotwo
  12. Hi Jkspoff The poll does not work ! If you put 0 points, you do not have any other options for no points !! Radiotwo
  13. Why would you want to lower a 4x4 ? I thought the idea was to get it as high as possable ! (to get over the bumps !) Radiotwo
  14. Bearing for what ? I assume you mean "Wheel" bearing, if so you will poss find that they are diffrent sizes to normal sizes ! We have just found this same problem on a VW Polo, and the bearings from a aftermarket supplier was cheaper than a bearing only site, plus for the polo both inner and outer came as one part Radiotwo
  15. Hi Wirral You will have to give more info: is the DVD origional to the car/and how old is the car? what type of discs are you using ? shop bought or home recorded Just a suggestion, but you could put the details in your profile, ie car, model engine size etc, and where you are in the country Radiotwo
  16. UPDATE: Ended up buying it from Halfords and a little cheaper too at
  17. Hi Again, This is the sort of thing you need: http://www.carsoundsupplies.co.uk/default....;search=CS-X480 or http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/p...ts_id/8082.html Radiotwo
  18. Hi There poss not one, it is controled by the can-bus. you did not say what you need it for but I think there are special units to allow a switched live Radiotwo

  20. Hi All Vag-com will do is read the fault code, it wont cure the problem Radiotwo
  21. Hi Big Kev At this moment I would like to retract all comments made about caravanners being a bunch of old ********s and ****s and all comments made whilst being stuck behind them. I should think so ! But any way welcome to the other half of life ! But if you want any info, there is always "caravan talk forum" if you have any questions Radiotwo
  22. Hi Neil You say the bulbs, fuses, and connectors look all right, but what have you done to check them ? Also I would not think it is a Transistor in parallel or any think for that matter, as the currents Involved with lights would blow them. My guess is either the bulbs have gone or a bad connection or bad earth i.e. Corrosion Radiotwo
