  1. I don't know about having kids, But I have been watching all day ! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and all the best for the new year Radiotwo And Biscuit and Family's
  2. Hi All As radiotwo says for the same power, using a lower voltage would need higher current P=IxV but this is more of a design constraint e.g. a 23W bulb on the mains would need about 0.1A but in a car at 12 it would need a current of 23/12 ... approximately 2A so in this case lower voltage would lead to higher current Just to further comment on this, the way round this would be to up the size of the cable, but I bet the cable size is the same as the front socket. and to Dave, that why the fuse is lower at the back. Dave a way round it, would be to run a new length of cable direct from the Battery to the rear of the car and either use a new socket or disconnect the original one and connect the new cable, and use something like 3 or 4mm Sq and fuse with a 30amp fuse. 4. Very Good, I like it Radiotwo
  5. If the cable length is longer (with the same size of cable) then there will be a greater volts drop, and the lower the voltage the higher the current, so more likly to blow the fuse ! Radiotwo
  6. Dave There could be a number of reasons ! did you replace with the correct size fuse ? what size fuse does the hand book say, also what current does the compressor draw, as poss as the cable length might mean it draws more at the back than the front. Another thing there is some cheap fuse's going round and may blow sooner. There could be a intermitiant fault on the compressor, if it does not blow with anything else Radiotwo
  7. Not as good as a Galaxy ! Radiotwo
  8. Hi nickhill There is loads on this subject on the forum, do a search ! Radiotwo
  9. First question, why did you change Rad,Pump, and Thermostat ? second question, are you getting water in the oil ? Sounds to me as if it has over heated and warped the head(or alike) and pressurizing the water system ! Radiotwo
  10. Hi Bobd You are poss correct with your thoughts but its no use confusing folk with all this increase in resistance etc, at the end of the day it usually down to a BAD connection ! so make sure all connections are tight and more so the ones that carry high current, like battery to starter/Alternator Radiotwo

  13. a:) yes it is.......its a diesel :o b:) Yes there is.....its a Toyota :P a:) yes it is.......its a diesel :o So is the Amazon b:) Yes there is.....its a Toyota :P And you only jealous, of a good car Radiotwo
  14. Its a Toyota........could be any part of the vehicle falling apart.. :o I bet when you and Saif dip there oil it is black on the dipstick Yes? when I do mine it is a lovely golden syrup colour so there's nothing wrong my Engine ! Radiotwo
  15. Hi Matie How are you doing ? I assume the silverline oil kit is so you don't have to strip off the engine cover and drain the oil that way, (my twopence worth) I have never been a lover of this idea, as yes you can pull the oil up, but what about the sediment that would flow out when the sump plug is taken out ! As far as the filters go, I don't think you need to change the fuel filter every time (when was it last changed?) Oil and air when oil is changed but the pollen every 12 months (I believe not too much) but as I do just take it out and throw away !! and as far ar the forum goes, not had a problem, but don't use it as much as you Radiotwo ps Kwickfit used to do oil and filter change for about
  16. Sorry mate. It's reasonably cold just doesn't seem to be enough air on full power coming out when I select either Face Level or Demist (Windscreen) plus even if you select these it still blows out the bottom regardless. You have not said if you have checked the filter ! Radiotwo
  17. Hi WJ A little confused, are you saying its not cold enough or just not enough air ? you say on full speed it was not very powerful, have you checked the pollen filter ? as for the vents, I cannot answer your question, but if you had it on auto I would expect air out of all of them ! Radiotwo
  18. Just a few to try http://www.turbocharger-solutions.co.uk/ http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/Car-Part...CFZoU4wodpkn0Lg http://www.turborepairs.com/ Radiotwo
  19. Hi Jon Basicly yes, just stick it in drive, but if you are going up/down steep hills then you could select the lower gears as needed. But the Big question has the auto box got a oil cooler? if not either fit one or don't tow with it Radiotwo
  20. It will be your turbo then !
  21. Hi Mark The best way to find out is take the wheel off, and see how many sensors are on the pads Radiotwo
  22. Hi Gary I would not recommend towing your twin axle van with the Galaxy as standard let alone with lowered suspension ! I have not been able to find the correct data for your car, but a good guide line is get your unladen weight of the car and calculate 85% of that and that is a good towing weight (including all the kit you carry in the van. to work out the weights: The weight of the caravan (inc all the extras Gas bottles spare wheel etc) / kerb weight of the car x 100 = % Radiotwo
  23. Hi Gregers I am not sure what you need But I noticed this when I was searching for something else: http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/ONLINE-AUTO-...c0Q2em14?_pgn=1 I cannot see one for your car, but a phone call might help Radiotwo
