Hmmmm.... seems like I touched a whole bag of nerves with that one!! Ok Mumof4 I concede childbirth might ( Isay only might) hurt a little bit - but if you hadn't yet realised that's because ladies have much lower pain thresholds than men - so what seems very very painful to them is re :D ally not a lot to write home about for a big hale and hearty chap. Surely you jest when you say you don't want to serve? My wife (God Bless Her) siad" To Love Honour & Obey" and by my way of thinking the obeying comes into the area of servitude!!. After all I do all the dirty jobs , the heavy jobs and those that she can't do (hmmm,,, what does that leave then?). :D I think that you should be grateful your dear hubby gave up his valuable DNA to combine with yours to produce the 4 lovely children you have!! It's an honour!! Bit like getting a medal only easier!!! :D (Now stands well back to wait and see what happens - from a safe distance!!_ :D

Wanny you need to clarify the allownace element - I get 5400 pa for a car allowance then 12p per business mile plus what I get back from the tax man. If you get a similar deal then it sounds OK - Put it this way a regular company car really stings you on the tax.

I don't understand this thread!! What is wrong with mumof4? Surely she is aware that woman was put on this earth to serve man? Sounds to me like she is doing a good job!!. :P Women always complain about giving birth - but why? They are the ones who want kids - they are built for it - just like shelling peas I think!!. All the things mumof4 lists as her daily taks - What joy!! If only I could do that isntead of earning a living and then ensuring SWMBO is kept in the lap of luxury!. You wiat until they grow up and bugger off - you start moaning then cos your babies have gone!! All yuo have to do is a little cooking , cleaning and lay back and think of England (or wherever!) What more can a girl want?

If you run a business your requirements are completely different from the average user - it will depend onyour applications. You really do need to go with some of the more professional business solutions providers and not the mickey mouse here today gone tomorrow types. Customer service is everything - but you do get what you pay for - As the saying go's Good thing No cheap Cheap thing no good!!

Views Needed On A Picasso As A Replacement.
Bigjeeze replied to greg_68's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
No Greg - even with the 5 years you have had it your Galaxy is 10 years old and was 5 when you got it - Invest your money in a more up to date Galaxy!! That way if it goes wrong you know what to do - Whereas with a Picasso you have to learn French to fix it!! -

I looked at this site - it all looks very good and possibly worth a try - But if you go for mail order it costs more than regular diesel but it doesn't give a price if you collect. If it isn't cheaper than regular and you have to go out of your way to get it - why bother? I know there are less emmissions of carbon but you are not going to convinvce people to use something that adds extra effort and cost.

Now that's a rule I heartily approve of!!!! :D :D

It will read 100,000 as does my wife's (133,000) The mileometer (Or more accurately the Odometer) will go on to at least 1000,000 assuming the car lasts that long!!

I agree there is no excuse for speeding and I also agree that the penalty should be applied even more stringently outside schools etc. Key statistics You are more likely to kill a pedestrian driving at 40mph than 30mph. Specifically, if you hit a pedestrian while driving at 20 mph, the pedestrian has a 95% chance of survival. If you hit an adult pedestrian while driving at 30mph, the survival chance is 80%. But if you hit a pedestrian while driving at 40mph, the pedestrian's chances of dying rises to 90%. (this lowers to 80% for a child). All that said you do have to allow some leeway for driver distraction - even if that distraction is another pedestrian - you cannot have a blanket offence without taking into account other affecting issues. You also have to take into account that no matter what care you take you cannot always account for the behaviour of children on the roads. We need to educate the road user and the pedestrian.

It will all depend on the point at which they decide to prosecute. Where I am it's 5mph over you are safe - I got done doing 37 and so got sent a fine etc - but luckily I was given the option of doing a days training and so avoided the points. As you can imagine I have been very careful since then!

You're spoiling them!! I refuse to let my kids have any coal - I make the buggers wait until meal times so that they can get some exercise fighting the dogs for the scraps!! Spare the rod etc!!! :D
