Its not about reliabilty or wear it's about safety. Also if you have odd non standard tyres - you could find your insurance company refusing to pay out in the event of a serious accident. I would check with a reputable tyre shop. I think it looks Ok but don't take any chances.

Thats the trouble with adverts, the ad agency gets so clever that you cant remember what the product was even if you remember the advert. Seems to defeat the point of the advert to me !! I don't know though - I reckon there are too many ads on the box and like you I never seem to take in the product for watching the ad. :blink: At least it keeps someone in BMW's & croissants!. :P I was recently in the US the bloody ads there are on so often they drive you nuts!! It isn't worth watching the telly there !! :angry:

Could be the battery. If it is OK maybe a charge would help. If it does a lot of short journeys and stands around a while it may not be sufficiently charged. It may also be knackered!!

MK1 is Garnet Red - I don't really like it all that much but it's Ok. MK2 is Solid Black and looks fantastic. Without a doubt the best colour for a Gal. Looks sleek and sexy - (Bit like me really!! :huh: )

I have two Galaxies - I have actually had three. The first one is a 1997 TD which has 133K miles now I have had it from new. The second one was a TDI Auto did 85K miles then changed it for the last one a 2001/2 TDi which now has 93K miles on the clock. If you add the miles up that's around 300K miles. In that time I have had 2 punctures, One breakdown. I have had my share of faults but none too bad. I have had the cars full of kids , rubbish, Bikes, Lawn Mowers, Washing Machines, Cookers, Fridges and all kinds of crap. They are comfortable economical and drive beautifully. Plus having them has lead me to this site which has been soooo helpful and not only has it saved me lots of moeny but I have a laugh as well. Thats why I own a Galaxy!! :(
