  1. Well, that has answered my question from eons ago as to whether mine was PD or not!!!.I have 6 speed..and a big thingy under the bonnet!! That'll be your head then!!!
  2. I know it's not scientific but I usually know when I will get better MPG by how many miles I do to the half way point on the fuel gauge. If I hammer it then I get around 280 miles to half way but if I take it carefully then I can get up to 400 Miles. I went from Bournemouth to Leicster today - with a few stop offs a total of 401 miles at an indicated speed of 70mph (the computer averaged this out at 58mph) and after a refill I had 45.8 Mpg. Got to go to bloody Brentwood tomorrow - another 350 mile sround trip. To Uxbridge on Wednesday - 200 miles total mileage for the week 950 miles - So I ain't going anywhere on Thursday & Friday!! :(
  3. So is it a dark or light tint you're going for? :(
  4. I knew it!! She's now going to name that tune in one!!!! :(
  5. My car being Black takes a shine and looks good - but the bonnet is covered in tiny stone chips that I have had to touch in is some cases , but where the polish goes on it leaves little white specks. How do you sort that out?
  6. Monty P - The meaning of life!
  7. GE Force 7800 Ok but as I am not a gamer I am not sure I'll bother changing the graphics as yet. All I wanted was something that has a warranty and a little more robus than my old machine. The only original part is the case and power supply - everything else has been upgraed at some point. It won't go to wasted I'll add it into the network as a print server/back up.
  8. OK so it hums - Have you tried deodorant? :( What sort of Hum? High frequency? Low? Intermittent? is it affected by braking turning ,gear changing? engine speed? More info please
  9. Should MM be changed to "The Big Dipper?" :(

  13. It is not a heathy thing for a young man to be too in love with a vehicle...... B) On the other hand - Maybe theres a good reason for leaving him outside!!!! :13:
  14. It hurts to say it but sometimes plumbers do earn their money!! By the way - Great site on PayPal - How nice to know it not just you!!
  15. see here or here Airbag Removing and installing coil connector with slip ring > 05.00 Driver airbag unit and steering wheel removed. ‒ Separate single connector for horn. ‒ → Unscrew Phillips screws -1- and pull coil connector with slip ring -2- off the steering wheel. Note: The steering must be in the centre position (wheels in straight-ahead position) when the coil connector and slip ring are removed and installed. Coil connector with slip ring is secured as a new part in the centre position with a cable tie.
  16. That was the name I was given - I stand corrected. In any case Yes it is the plastic ring that has the contacts on it that maintain the connection between the airbag in the steering column and the rest of the electrical gubbins. According to Elsawin it is called the slip ring - it doesn;t mention anywhere the Clockspring.
  17. Great news - Its always good to have it confirmed you were wrong again!!! :P Still at least now with similar symptoms I'll know what to check..
  18. What sort of mileage has the car done? I would investigate much further if I were you - It seems a little drastic to take a telephone diagnosis as gospel! If you read this forum you will soon discover that the vast majority of us are not overly impresed with Ford or Ford technical help or advice.
  19. It's the virtual monoply that I object to - I know you can used others but as they are owned by Ebay they are keen to lock you in. They and their service stink!! I used them quite happily for purchases until they decided I had spent enough and wanted me to give them access to my bank account (its more secure they say!!) I'll send a cheque or use nochex or credit card - but I ain't going through them anymore. In fact I have far better protection via my Credit card than anything they offer. I appreciate that I am a purchaser rather than a seller so maybe it's different.
  20. Pay-Pal and security? In the same sentence? You have not been ripped off then! Just because PP forwards your cash to the seller it does not mean your going to get anything for your money! My sentiments exactly - Bunch of wan***s!!! :D
  21. I was wondering if Mr Mumof4 could do that with Mumof4 - Mind you maybe he doesn't want an old one!!! :D Good Luck Mike - Don't be a stranger.
