Don't brood and dont feel guilty. These things happen -if you didn't see the dog and it wasn't under control then there's little you could have done. The owner should have looked after the dog better. Think it through and you'll feel better. :)

Just bought a Haynes Manual ans it does indeed look like aircon rec/dryer. I have taken some pictures but unsure if I can post them here?. The canister is very wet, is it just a case of not running the aircon?. Thanks Rob Just bought a Haynes Manual ans it does indeed look like aircon rec/dryer. One Of My Fans Isn't Working?

As El Dingo says it's for your Air Con and won't come on unless the Air con is on - Turn on the air con and see if it's running - If not then you haver a dodgy fan! -
First things first: When did you first notice this or has it crept up on you? If it is recent, has anything occurred (like hitting trees) that might have an effect?? Have you checked your tyre pressures? Are you sure that this is a regular thing or is it just a one off? Air Filter - This could cause a problem - when was it last chnaged - the service interval is around 20K miles or 2 years I think - for a mere

I average 6-800 miles per week and If I were to beleive the on board computer then I am doing around 50mpg - but when I check the mileage by fuel used I am averaging approx 44mpg - which I trhink is very good. I usually stick to the posted speed limits but I do drive almost exclusively on the Cruise control so this removes most of the stop start driving you do when constantly slwoing down or speeding up. I find that the climate control takes around 3-4 mpg off but as I never turn mine off I don't notice this anymore and so this could bring my average up. As has been said ,condition - tyre pressures , windows , Roof boxes etc all play their part. You could if it matters to you, also try removing excess seats to see if lightening the load will assist (I think this is daft). The fluctuating readings can be caused by a number of things - gearchanging - going up hills - going down hills so until they stabilise can't be taken as read - also the readings are average and again you should not beleive them totally. If you have a change from the norm then you have to find out what has changed.

I got 26k out of the Dunlops on my Mk2 Ghia - you are right they are noisy and I would love to change them but I don't want to mix tyres on the car as the rears are fine - if the bloody things would all wear out evenly that would make it an easier decision to change. :D As for affordability - Just save a couple fo quid a week in a jar or something and at the end of your 18 or 26k you should have enough to buy the tyres you want. ;) It shouldn't come as a shock!! :D

Help For My Gal Please

Mum - I think you are getting mixed up with s*x - you think it lasts five minutes whilst hubby thinks he performs for at least half an hour ;) -
Dave if disconnecting the MAF made no difference then it's likley to be knackered. If you disconnect the MAF you should see a difference in performance - ie a drop - if when disconnected it stays the same it ain't working. If it it were there would be a drop in performance. Try and borrow one to see if that cures it. BJ

My current Galaxy has 97k on the clock ( My wifes 130K of which I did 118k and another 85k on one in between) - I have done all of those miles - I have broken the speed limit but no longer do so. I was caught accidentally speeding ( I accelerated up a hill) and was clocked at 35mph in a 30mph zone - I was given the choice of a fine and points or to attend a police course (cost the same as the fine) . I attended - it was very good and I now no longer speed if I can help it. I am not holier than thou I will inevitably speed whether by design or accident - All I am saying is that it is better not to. Sanjsanj' later post covers the subject well, You can't see them all before they see you - you can't always see the undercover police car - so ther solution if you want a clean licence is observation: of the speed limit, the road conditions, and your surroundings. I have done extensive trials with speed over time on differing journeys and the amount of time you save by speeding is rarely worth the effort - Over a 100 mile journey you can rarely better the journey time by more than 10 mins and at that distance it's neither here nor there. So you do what you have to do and I'll probably be behind you!! NB It might profit you to look up my quotation below!! ;)

Tyre Pressure Sticker

Interesting - my MK2 speedo is completely accurate accroding to Mr Tom Tom - at 30mph and at 70mph. So is one or both lying to me? -
Why do you call the Police "filth"? Maybe they caught him doing something dirty?

Either a motor problem or more likely damaged or broken wiring between the door and body - it's a common fault. Pull back the rubber bellows on the cables and see if they are intact.

I think that this is one of those incidents that should be chalked down to experience. I have had similar situations with Debonair (left me in Munich ) Ryanair (delayed 8 hours) and of course the majors - One Airline even put the wrong time on my ticket so that when I arrived I was 2 hours too late!. Virgin took me to Washington then cited Aircraft faults and told me they would get me back two days later!! ( I got home on BA) I am impressed that they put you up - that runs counter to my experience. Basically - "Good thing no cheap - Cheap thing no good" as my Taiwanese friend would say.
