  1. an air induction kit shop would be the best bet or look in the ford tuning mags for the specialists who can help you
  2. Hi and welcome to the wonderfull world of the galaxy.in answer to question about suspension tops full of water-yes its a common problem ,most people dry out tops as best they can ,spray on a releasing fluid then fill tops with grease to stop any further water ingress
  3. good cars mondeo's -had less trouble with mine than i get from the galaxy
  4. big 2.9 litre engine so should move pretty quick
  5. :( when they build any new car the heater is hung from a piece of string and the car is built around it!well done for doing this defo a medal job!
  6. :( An inch over the mark is a tad much ,i know a certain ammount of leeway is built into the dipstick markings ,but i would take it back to garage and get them to rectify it,just to be on the safe side
  7. why not get a recorder and go the whole hog!
  8. do you think she's killed im yet ??   she hasn't been on here tonight -which is strange-could be in police custody by now!
  9. some serious cash to put that right! the wiring loom alone would be a night mare
  10. will the tis disc tell you how to remove shroud?
  11. ouch - this could be tricky, sometimes there is only so much you can do yourself,at least you can drive the car ,so it's not a total disaster. There should be a tuning shop in swindon who should have a rolling road .Any one near got a vag com ? that might be worth a go.
  12. any chance you could take to a garage with a rolling road tester? it might cost but at least it should eliminate some problems and they should have the gear to diagnose what the problem is ,if it's an internal fault taking all the shrouds off won't give you much idea whats going wrong :o
  13. tell her your not cutting it in half for anyone !!! :D :D :16:
  14. Went to see the energy conservation officer at council today about getting extra insulation in loft ,she reccomended i should have at least 10 inches- come on lads and lasses ,make the most of it!! :D
  15. Always beware when people insist on cheques-very little comeback when things go wrong, also western union money transfer is suspect. If you sell something that is paid for with a cheque NEVER despatch item until cheque has cleared, always check feedback, esp from china,i've seen computers for sale at bargain prices ,but feedback is made up from people who have bought pap worth 50p. If you have doubts DON'T trade .Another old favorite is fake e-mail asking you to confirm details of your account, another con is the fake e-mail saying your account has been suspended and can only be re-activated by going onto this site which will ask you all your security / bank details , ALWAYS go into your e-bay account to read your messages. But apart from this happy trading!
  16. all organised religion has a lot to answer for
  17. Religion is just another form of social control
  18. :angry2: Is it definetly an allen nut not a torx head?
  19. Just goes to show how difficult it is to try and diagnose a problem by description alone, if the car had been stood in front of us ,we could have eliminated the symptoms one by one. Given the description, i think a slipping clutch was a pretty good stab in the dark! all the advice given shows how much experience the forum has across the board, and it looks like we got there in the end.
  20. could be the engine mountings on the way out
  21. i still think it's a slipping clutch no matter what anybody says  post no 35
  22. I think the clutch could be slipping .anybody else think so?
  23. Riding the clutch noooooooooooo ! it will half the life of the clutch ,and it aint cheap to replace
