  1. :27: Play games? with such quality items on t.v such as, love island, fools on horses, big brother, quizmania, etc how on earth do you have the time to waste your life on playing games ? err on second thoughts :D :D :(
  2. should be some information about tyre pressures on sidewall of tyre, if not ask at local tyre dealers ,they might be able to help
  3. :P watch out for the change from weekly to monthly pay ,it's great getting a big wedge at the end of the month-then you get to week 3 and find you're hanging on until next week because it's all gone! it can take some getting use to :)
  4. :D the rear offside elecric window is doing my head in! it has always worked intermittently- the classic wiring loom failure i thought -i renewed the door loom ,window is still acting up! both front and rear switches seem to work o.k. am i right in thinking the window motor is the culprit? all the other windows work perfectly .the recent hot weather has brought this to a head as 1 unlucky kid in the back is the only one getting frazzled!
  5. :( ooer missus - you and your fingers- has husband been posted away? !! :) :)
  6. right hand side IS drivers side (assuming you have a r.h.d. gal!)
  7. :( get a third world? i can barely cope with this one!
  8. :13: the spring is under a lot of tension, i can imagine it being a right t**t of a job to refit one -so a trip to a breakers is on the cards B)
  9. B) nice to see i'm not the only one who can spend all day washing ,polishing, hoovering the gal (and the following lecture from SWMBO-if you looked after the house as much etc etc )Women just don't appreciate how much care a car needs ,at least thats my excuse :13:
  10. the pepipoo site stuff was very interesting ,i'll just have to wait and see what happens
  11. :D Had a run up to Edinburgh zoo with the kids -on the way back along the A68- Flash- and i was caught by the dreaded speed camera ,so i'll just have to wait and see if i'm 3 points heavier on my nice clean licence.Still my own fault though :D It was interesting to note that on the Scottish side of the A68 speed camers were everywhere, but on the English side there very few, and then they were only in towns and villages , worst thing was on the border there's a big sign saying "welcome to Scotland" :D yeah thanks a lot! :D .on a more positive note i can recommend the view from the border view point, on a sunny day it really is stunning -just watch your speed :( :(
  12. where is savernake?
  13. :( THANKS EVERBODY FOR BIRTHDAY WISHES -birthdays seem to be coming around a little to fast these days , so before i go off in "when i was a lad" mode a big thank you to everyone esp Mum of 4 and teresag22003 :16:
  14. :5: Nothing worse than having poorly kids and the doctor saying "it's a virus" then given calpol as a cure all ,hope littleun gets better soon ,and take care yourself
  15.   :( bang go's this years summer holiday :D
  16. try groupama -did a good deal for me
  17. probably not as manufactures seem to delight in making a million shade variations ! your local main dealer should be able to tell you what colour it is by registration number typed into the magic computer in the spares dept
  18. The brake lights on my fiat blow with tedious regularity- i've cleaned contacts ,checked wiring ,no obvious reason for them to blow, they can go for months without blowing ,then go through a phase of blowing twice a week ,could just be one of those things that are sent to try us (and certainly succeeds!!)
  19. Freezing method is only so so ,iv'e seen pipework suddenly thaw out with pretty messy results -ok for a very quick change of a radiator valve or similar ,anything longer and you're better off draining system ,you never know what problems you might come across as well as having additional worry about running out of time!
  20. :( nice :D :D
  21. typical ford nothing is easy
  22. :D that would explain the rather substancial bolts on the battery tray :D
  23. :D has anybody come up with an easier way of changing the reversing light switch? i followed the directions in the haynes manual, but judging by the photos the gearbox was out of the car -making it VERY easy,i even toyed with the idea of taking the battery tray out to give better access , has anybody any ideas ? :D
  24. Pretty sure the clips on the sides of the panel don't let the panel slide up-has to be carefully prised away from door starting at bottom corner-it also helps if it's a warm day as it seems to make clips softer to pull out of fixing holes
