:blink: just had to renew the wiring loom in the offside passenger door for the same thing window ,speaker, central locking all acting up ,got a new door loom (

:blink: Mine did exactly the same -managed to get a new starter motor off e-bay at a good price , on changing over duff starter i noticed a lot of wear on the main shaft and the starter gear ,it might be cured by lubing the bearings in the motor ,but considering the hassle of changing the starter it might be worth changing it for a recon one or a breakers yard special -like you say the screeching noise isn't exactly a good selling point! also make sure you get the right starter as there seems to be a few different types :D

:D Got one of these ,i would recommend them to everybody -makes changing wheels a lot easier :D

:( Had the same trouble with mine - had to get the locking nuts drilled out by the local garage, then bought some new ones from the dreaded main dealer,now whenever i have work done at tyre fitting centres etc i always ask them NOT to tighten them up with air powered tools as some of these guys seem to think the're fitting wheels to a 40 ton lorry!

:( Sadly holidays seem wasted on young ones ,we were in Malta last year ,one day we had some cloudy weather so went to Valletta for the day -fabulous ancient fortified city,what did i get?- look dad there's a MCDONALDS ! so we ended up in this bloody mcdonalds which could have been in any high street in the world :blink: talk about culture!

:blink: Going to give the Gal a good run out ,complete with brats and swmbo ,off to Cornwall for a week .Looking forward to an 8 hour 480 mile trip tommorow ,bought a couple of twin screen portable dvd players so that SHOULD keep them happy instead of usual "are we there yet" so with a bit of luck i'll be back next week! hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend ,and the weather stays nice and dry! :lol:

:angry: when you'r in a 2 lane road on the outside lane at a junction controlled by traffic lights -lights turn green the person in front THEN decides to indicate right -really gets me annoyed , BIGJEEZE you forgot bring back the cane in schools (what kids need today is a good thrashing )and national service!

:( If you'r in the frozen north Alnwick castle and gardens are well worth a look ,also near by is the Northumberland coast with some good places like Bamburgh and lots of good beaches (be warned though, the sea is a tad cool at this time of year! )
