  11. if its the clutch then it can be replaced while insitu,BUT IT IS A PAIN IN THE ARSE.but im afraid from what you say it might be the compressor itself? have you done a search?
  12. check the alternator and tensioner.take a look in the faqs.
  13. mmm does the sound come from the engine area or the wheel/s area? if the engine area,it might be the alternator pulley and tensioner problem.if so do a search
  14. see told yahhttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif
  15. i dont think it can be done?think it depends on what car you have. mirez is the expert here,he has dabbled a lot with this.

  17. hi mark, have you followed the instructions on how to do this from the faqs in the tech section of the forum? if not then look it up and all will be revealed/relieved http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
  18. hi mark, have you followed the instructions on how to do this from the faqs in the tech section of the forum? if not then look it up and all will be revealed/relieved http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
  19. you shouldve got a mk2 tdi,ive had up to 59.9 mpg (according)to the so called read out.http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
  20. hi dave,if you look in the faqs in the tech section of the forum there are detailed instructions on how to take the roof lining out,my post on the subject is also in the depths of the forum somewhere, its a pain in the arse but it is achievable. 1st thing i would do is to make sure if the pipe is really off? pour some water down on that side and use a piece of curtain wire to gently poke down the run off pipe, once you have made sure that there is a leak then im afraid unless anyone else comes up with a better solution then you will have to drop the roof lining,MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLEAN HANDS/GLOVES other wise you will mark/stain the lining and it wont come off. once you have followed the info on how to do this the lining comes out through the rear hatch/door,also make sure there is no wind http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gifother wise you end up running down the road holding said lining looking a bit of a prat in doing sohttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif,of course i WOULDNT KNOW as it NEVER HAPPENED TO MEhttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif. anyway once out it should be self explanatory? good luck and keep us posted.
  21. iirc this has been posted before,i think you have to gain access from under the engine????
  22. welcome to this mad house http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif,and yes the sharan/alhambra and galaxy are pretty much the same cars apart from certain engines,so any questions ask away. as said at these temps were all having now(unless youve got snow/icehttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)then i would be surprised if the aux heater is kicking in??? as you have i think a mk1 then as chris says it could be 5 degrees before it works? when mine was faulty the fumes came in by the passenger seat belt area. have you checked that the rear hatch actually shuts correctly?just in case any fumes are being sucked in?
  23. well i too have had all of that on mine albeit mine is a mk2 but has been ok when ive done it.
  24. whats the red light in the door doing while you try and start it? could it be an immobilizer problem? you havnt dropped your key have you?
  25. ah well m8,maybe your have the day off next yearhttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif
