this idea was banded about a few years ago,maz (mumof4(admin)tried to get this baby up and running,there were a few members up for it and then there were a few who thought it was a pants idea.

yep sounds like it,especially when you hit a pot hole or bump they do make a bit of noise,1 more thing to eliminate is the restrictor bar,with engine off open bonnet and grab hold of the engine and try and rock it or get someone you trust to sit in the car and very gently rev the engine while you look to see if there is excess movement,do a search on here for roll restrictor and drop links,iirc there are intructions in the faqs on how to change them.

iirc under the sales of goods act you have 28 days to find all faults with the car,and the dealer is obliged to rectify the faults,this is on top of any warrenty they have given you. good luck with your new car and have fun with it.

if no chip then the car will not start,has the key been dropped recently or had the batteries been changed,if so then i susspect the chip has fallen out without you realising,unless a mobile lock smith can help then it might be a trip to the dealers to get sorted,which im afraid is going to cost you a large wedge of dosh.

for the key check out the info in the faqs or do a search for info required, as for the radio code you may be able to get the info from a google search or a kindly fellow forum member may pm the info you need,also look on ebay for a set of incar dash manuels/books, it is frowned apon giving unlock codes out on an open forum.

Father in law has had to give up driving, and has offered us his V6 4*4 Ghia X, seriously tempted.......... ;) sounds good,if its free?? no doubt cost a lot in fuel??

hi and welcome to the forum,if you havnt already found the faqs in the technical section?then i would recommend you do loads of info in there to read up on, if your problem hasnt already come up through the search facility then post away and someone will in time reply(hopefully)to your problem.

I DID but i dont think they got the irony of it:rolleyes: i think they are well aware of the hassle of trying to get a foreign insurance company to play ball and cough up so they no doubt will continue be disrespectful to other peoples belongings ,so hence me venting my spleen at them,if i couldnt get any sense then they certainly wernt getting away without there ears ringing.

so here i was sitting in tesco;s carpark waiting for swmbo and a car pulls up beside me,nothing unusual there,until the woman opens her car door and smacks it into my passenger door,looks at me moves her door off of mine then does the same bloody thing,arrrrrrrrgggghhhhh. so out i pops to inspect the damage and questioned her to be met with WELL THATS OK ,turns out her and her hubby were polish i attempted to get there details and he produced his insurance etc then i realized WHATS THE BLOODY POINT id be doing all the chasing to get no where SO i politley told them in future if there in this country to be more curtious and show some bloody respect for other peoples property,then told them to ...K OFF.before i opened my door and really dent there audi a4. most of the scratch has come out just by rubbing with my finger,luckily it isnt dented. and the thing was i parked quite a bit away from every one else.
