  1. by the look of them, either or. but have you tried the ebay/scrappy route for a complete regulator??
  2. cheers bob, received,in your new fitting kit does it come with a new plastic spool?
  3. bob just remember m8,if there have been serious noises coming from it,then id bet the plastic spool inside has stripped hence why its over running,so by just replacing cables might not do the job or it might but not for very long, the plastic spool has 2 serrated threads on it when you take it apart you will see what i mean, you do need 3 hands when doing thishttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gifbut it can be done, shame your so far away from me. when changing the regulator/wires you will need a block of wood or something similar to hold the window up. pm sent.
  4. well as i said earlier in this thread it depends on how handy you are? if the motor still works then just replace the wires. or track 1 down from a scrappy,my 1 cost
  5. as title m8,hope you had a good 1http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/31.gifhttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/31.gifhttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/31.gif
  6. mmm i would suggest you take it back to them.
  7. bob im afraid i need more info, whats actually wrong with your 1? afaik you will need a mk2 regulator,if you search on here there has been indepth discussions that say the mk1 and mk2 are different. BUT i found that the mk1 has the internal plastic spool and the wires to be the same length so i cannibalized it and sorted mine out, fiddly but do able.
  8. hi jason welcome to the forum, wow good price, look in the faqs in the technical section for a heap of info to help fix your car.
  9. well its either ebay or a local scrappy?but it really depends on whats actually wrong with yours?how handy you are in mending your original 1?there are plenty of posts on the subject you might even find 1 by me,i re threaded mine, read up on it,but its bloody fiddly.
  10. i can understand the lip biting,to a point. perhaps a guilt trip may suffice? i:e money is now tight WE may have to give up the child minder?obviously depending on other factors. must be a bitter pill to swallow spending that amount of cash and its not workinghttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif
