gregers replied to Edilaxy's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
think you can only add another seat by removing the middle 1s and buying 1s that havnt got arm rest on them,as th captain seats take up more room. -

Should I Buy A 2004 Galaxy Ghia 1.9Tdi (130Hp)
gregers replied to Edilaxy's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
yep these cars are a nightmare for wiring problems because they are too short and not just in the doors, the rear hatch throws up lots of problems as well. i find it hard that a auto electrician couldnt identify the fault/s struggling to understand how the seller has put his cars value at 6k and yours at 3k? also on his are they alloys or wheel trims, photo not good, they should be alloys. -

Should I Buy A 2004 Galaxy Ghia 1.9Tdi (130Hp)

well like any cars they have there raft of problems, hence you will find numerous forums that have been set up to help with the problems that rear there heads. this forum has a wealth of tech knowledge that has been added to over the years, which would help you to be able to fix it(hopefully), also thinking about it the current owner will nodoubt has mended any problems that he has encountered over his owner ship? like anything, you could buy a nearly new car and end up saddled with a wreck,or 1 that is a lot older and high mileage and runs like a dream, good luck in your choice. -
Adding 4 Keys To Fagalaxy Ghia Auy 2005
gregers replied to klaus4's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
greetings, from what i remember you need 2 working keys to be able to code any more, if you only have 1 then its a visit to an auto locksmith or the dealers who will be able to code them to the pats system on your car, FOR a cost. -

gregers replied to Edilaxy's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
as above if its going for a price your willing to spend compared to other models you are looking at.is it at a dealer or a private sale. -
follow the instructions a bit furthur up,then clear them all.and sit back and watch/listen to our heater(hopefully)start.
-
iirc if it has locked out, then the codes need reading and resetting,if it still dont work then its something else.
-
well its either 1 sensor gone down or a generic wiring fault to them all? iirc they are all pretty much the same on any car, again iirc if working correctly you should hear clicking noises comming from each sensor.

Which Would You Suggest Late Mk2 Or Early Mk3
gregers replied to G7EXZ's topic in Questions about the New MKIII
well what ever you choose it will be an upgrade, lol. welcome to the forum. it all depends on your budget. you could get a top end spec mk2 for more money then an early mk3. i would suggest you have a drive of both. the hand brake issue,i thought it was an improvement on the mk2,i had a smax slightly smaller then the mk3. info on the mk3 is slowly filltering down into forums like this, but still rather sketchy. -
does the rear door latch work ok? does the rear boot door open from the remote ok? if no on the 1st and yes on the 2nd then i would think its defo the wires. if there anything like they were on my smax the latch wires ran through the gator on the left(hatch open looking in) i assume all other wires are housed in the right gator.
-
does the run on pump work? iirc if not then the aux heater wont work? you should hear a buzzing noise when you turn the engine off. plenty of info on here about that also, :35:
-
ahha gotcha.

dave i have pinned this so hopefully it stays at the top? so do you think the wiring is degrading over time then? will the bigger wattage bulb then in turn try and draw more power then the wires can handle? if this does indeed work, sounds like it could save a lot of time, money and effort in having to replace the loom etc.

Code For Ford Galaxy Titanium
gregers replied to beenthere's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
doing the mod bit here, please dont ask for codes as it is not aloud, if a member wishes to pm you and offer help then this is done outside forum rules. ta muchly. answer to your questions, it is,there just being tight arses. was it them who supplied the car from new? i had the same trouble on my old smax,1st time i rang supplying dealer was told the same line as yourselves, phoned again and used a different tact,im sure i posted what i said etc on here somewhere? might be wise to do the same,i even had a independent audio shop try and charge me 75 quid. the trouble with the modern codes is no one has them unless you pay for the privilege. hth a bit. -
do you mean the mfd units?that originally were fitted in the mk2 depending on options? i could be wrong but i dont think they had the technology to be able to do that? how about a pic of the unit you have.

'09 Tdci Auto Engine Malfunction
gregers replied to Rtomadini's topic in Questions about the New MKIII
as above but also iirc there are cables under the seat?maybe some have been knocked? how long are you leaving the battery off for?as iirc the alarm module has its own little battery within itself. so maybe leave battery off over night?then see what happens when its reattached. -
Driver's Door Electrics
gregers replied to rubberduckyiow's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
i would think its the wires in the door gaitor as i would think if it was any fuses then it would effect every door and window. -
