  1. ta for that brian, yeah also getting it,as said down to glen to sort it out?
  2. my advice, test drive the 1.6 1st then the 2ltr.and if possible more then just 15mins in each. few years back i had to endure a zafira 1.6 on hire, and that was nowhere as big as a galaxy.GUTLESS wonder.you really had to press the pedal to get it to move.
  3. batteries low? or take it apart and give it a clean with contact cleaner. be careful with the pats chip.
  4. if you have no brake lights then it may well be the brake switch needs replacing.you might be able to mend it by adjusting it?by pulling the plunger down?? should be lots of info on this subject either on the forum in general or in the faqs found in the tech section.
  5. try vw or seat or a factors.
  6. yeah i seem to remember this question comming up before, some cars were fitted with the phone buttons but not the actual device? check out the ford 'etis' site.type in your reg no or chassis no and all the info on your car should come up.
  7. plz refer to my comment on 'has my car got a turbo'
  8. just a thought, lift bonnet, grab hold of the engine and see if you can move it? im wondering if its the gearbox/mount thingy(cant remember the actual name)?
  9. cant help. but do us a favour and turn your caps off. considered bad etiquette, shouting. welcome to the forum.
  10. iirc that what my handbook said,so i ran mine which was what the good book says.
  11. circulation pump, also known as run on pump, you should hear a slight humming noise when you turn the engine off, iirc runs for about 5-10 mins. if you look under the bonnet right hand side back of the engine but near the top you should see it,search on the forum for more info. all info you need should be on hear,if not on this short thread, then its elsewhere, take a look in the tech section in the faqs. iirc, the aux heater on a mk2 comes on at 10 degrees,mk1 comes on at 5 degrees. on my old 1 it still came on up to around 12 degrees. if the run on pump doesnt work then the heater wont run.
  12. thermostat stuck maybe? you certainly dont want to be driving it like that for too long. ive had this in the past, and what i have done was to turn the heater on full this helps to take the heat out of the engine, but its purely an emergency exercise.
  13. broken wire? more then likely,do a search on the forum in the tech section, very common problem.
  14. http://catalog.partmaster.com.ua/?action=cat_ford_part&s_id_part=24674&s_id_model=99&s_code_image=G002102203
  15. you will be surprised what electrical problems in 1 door/hatch can affect the whole car. especially the 1's in the hatch, can make you feel the cars possessed.
  16. have you check for problems in ALL door gators including the rear hatch.
  17. yeah drive it like you stole it.
  18. hunt through this lot for details, http://catalog.partmaster.com.ua/?action=cat_ford_unit&s_id_model=99
  19. hello back and welcome to the forum, as above about the rear wiper. as for parking sensors do a search and info should come up on what to look for and check.
  20. has it just started running lumpy? have you taken it for a Italian tune up?.
  21. iirc thats for a mk1, think its by your right knee under neath??
