welcome to the forum, im thinking the system may well have to relearn??but if not. make sure you have the code to the stereo etc,disconnect battery then reconnect, see what happens then?

i bought a mk1 tdi zafira when i got rid of my mk1 petrol 2 ltr galaxy had it about 18 mths,was absolutely bomb proof to be honest even though i got a lot of stick from everyone on here never had a single problem with it, but they are no way as good as the gals are,a lot smaller to a point you will notice once you have driven the 2.go to a dealer and try and load all your stuff and kids into one.you will see what im on about. dunno what the newer ones are like but i still would go for a gal which is what i went back to,a tdi mk2 ghia,have you thought about an smax?larger then a zaffy smaller then the mk3.had a tdci titainium for about 5 years great car.

i would be cautious,if you go down this route make sure you know a way of backing your key codes up. i had a senior diagnostic technician try and reprogram a new key etc and he had EVERYTHING but he did say once the button was pressed then that was it,if it failed to load in then it rendered the car U.S and it was a visit to the dealers to be done. as they have a direct route to the ford internet system.

welcome to the forum mike,galaxy eh,now why the bloody hell would you want 1???lol. problems......nah not 1, seriously take a looksie in the tech section of the forum to gain a jist of the problems these cars suffer from, like any car there are faults,forums like this were set up to help others and try and keep tour hard earned in our pocket rather the the stealers. retro fitting things are all doable if you have long arms and short pockets but try and buy 1 that has all the goodies included. OH GOODIE we havnt had a mpg argument for years lol,i managed to get 59 mpg out of my old tdi but i was driving like miss daisy, mmm zaffy REALLY dont know anyone who went down that route!!lol,i did after 18mths bought another galaxy,SO dont do it.

only worry if it starts blinking rapidly,flashing every 5 seconds or so is ok,blinking like a gooden means a fault has been logged. then you can see basic diagnostic info through your convers dash.

iirc its telling you the system/car is armed and immobilized,all is good,you can now sleep at night.

it is a mk3,so ive moved it to the correct section,do above as brian has suggested,even for a new motor you will still get the same old problems.

if its flashing i seem to remember it requires a regas,do a search on here its come up loads of times over the years.

iirc dont go there,lol. think you have to heat the whole light up? if you cant hook it out,then remove the whole unit and give it a bloody good shake.

could be a bad earth on the door switches,but i would also check the wires in the door gators,carefully inspect each wire dont forget to also check the gator in the rear hatch coz they can cause no end of problems. do a search on the forum for wiring problems.

welcome to the forum,this might be worth a try?? disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hr,MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CODES ETC. reconnect the battery and then try reprogramming the window again. if your kids were like mine,telling them its broke wont wash lol.

yeah i think by the time the focus lx?? came about fords started doing differing things with the model names.my smax was a titanium,but iirc they done an X version too. seem to remember they done this years back to the cortina and granada.but under the ghia guise,ghia x.

think it went aspen,zetec then ghia,but even ghia had a lot of difference depending on the options ticked list. my old ghia didnt have leather seats or heated seats,but i had seen others that had.some had sat nav mfd units fitted. others had rear aircon with 1 opening rear window. sure someone will add to the above.

give em a ring,and vw as well.if no joy look on ebay.
