gregers replied to jamesey's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
are you using internet explorer? if so try using 'fire fox' 'chrome' or any others. seems to be an inherant fault using explorer which stops peeps gaining access to the faqs  -
Alarm Driving Me Crazy
gregers replied to newgas's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
newgas you aint goner win pal, this aint the building forum where you can shout and moan,we are here to give you as much help/feedback as we possible can. you either heed it or sell your bag of bolts,:lol:but i bet when it was running as it should you were saying to all and sundry what a brillient car it was,;). if you havnt looked in the faqs do so,hell of a lot of info in there to help peeps like ourselves. try getting your hands dirty and replace/mend the bits that need it,im sure as others have said (hopefully fingers crossed for you) it wont cost no where near as much as giving it to a garage and listening to the sudden intake of breathe from the grease monkey OOOOOO THATS GOING TO COST YOU M8. -
sounds to me they might have fooked up,have these problems rear up since they carried out so called repairs?if so tell them to sort it out as they have obviously either displaced something or not reconected what they have removed???? or it could just be bad timing on your part and your car is just throwing a wobbler and requires some TLC? as i do not have your car details im clutching at straws here but google is your friend, http://www.obd-codes.com/p0700 http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00293

Possible Power Steering Problem
gregers replied to pauleaton16's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
are you getting the noise with the aircon turned on? if so then it may be the aircon clutch plate wearing out, when mine went it sounded like a bunch of cats under the bonnet then the thing fell off. -

gregers replied to MadBaz's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
i think if you do a search on the forum, seatkid has posted this numerous times and i think he will agree ITS USING IT LONG TERM that may cause damage,im thinking you have allready blown halfords up? im also thinking they will just say it meets conformaty, but if they do see sense then get them to change the oil and filters as a good will exercise,MAYBE get them to stretch it for 2 oil changes f.o.c? -
is this a professinolally fitted towbar or a diy fit? i know on my smax it had to be programed to the ecu.

Door Window Motor And Regulator Question
gregers replied to Mikef's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
i would take the regulator out and take it apart(be careful the wirw is like a coiled spring)and inspect the plastic spool inside,if the motor is working im thinking the spool has shreaded inside so the cable is over running and getting caught up within itself,if this is the case then you can get either a mk1 or mk2 regulator and carry out a transplant, the regulators going by info on here are different but i do know when i carried out repairs to mine the wires etc are the same,i had a mk1 regulator and a mk2 galaxy. iirc i posted about it on here somewhere. -

another thought, you havnt got water in the ecu under the passenger seat by any chance??? -
i have the same set up on my smax, maybe press the fan button, after you turned mono off,im assuming mono is purly to get heat into the front of the car, behind the front seats in the pillar are the vents for the rear, try opening the vents see if that helps.
-
on the heater controls iirc there is a button you press think its the mono button, press this then if im right the rear heater should spring into life?
