  1. I beleive it's under the ashtray, I could however be wrong on this. Regards - JB
  2. Or the way they were connected up. Connecting them in series with any existing speakers would be safe, still better not to mess about if you're not sure. Regards - JB
  3. I've just complained to my dealer, 30 months old, I suspect dealer damage to the laquer and caps on my gal. They have come back with an offer of 4 brand new wheels and caps with a payment from me of
  4. Hey mumof4, this aint heated, not even warm, just freindly banter. Not long to your testing day? Very good luck, if you feel nervous take this advice that I used to give to my learners before their test. The examiner is a scary person, a god like creature right? Picture him sat on the toilet, trousers round his ankles reading his paper. He's human like most of us (VR6 excepted  ), if nothing else it will make you smile when you meet him and break the ice a little. Relax, drive like you know you can and I'm sure you're aware that if you wish, your driving instructor is allowed to come along for the ride sat in the back if that would help you. The mystery word: Here's a clue:- Do I Look As If I Give A F............ So not swingers etc, Nicked from Roy Bloody Harding CD (Brilliant). Regards - JB
  5. Well they do say a picture is worth a thousand words so at least it shuts him up a bit  Where are you getting all these from VR6? do you get one free with every gallon  Regards - JB
  6. I only have one thing to say to you gregers (there may be more but I can only think of this one at the moment), it's a standard staff reply to brats at our school DILAIIGAF (pronounced dil-ee-gaf) Regards - JB
  7. Who said that ????? Is it OK to nick Philips radio, doesn't he mind  Sorry can't help (even if I wanted to), my software doesn't do Philips. Regards - JB
  8. But the definition of theft is to deprive the owner of the object and I haven't nor did I suggest that anyone was a theif at any time merely complained about our willingness to potentially help the criminal world by feely giving out codes and information how to obtain the software etc. So far as the TIS goes if Ford made a manual available I would have gladly purchased it either in paper or electronic form. When I had my 24v Senator no manuals were available for that, my local Vauxhall dealer was very helpfull and offered to order me the relevant microfiche manuals and in fact gave me an old microfiche reader all for the modest sum of
  9. Not really, I don't see your point. If I have a TIS CD how could it possible affect you ? If my radios nicked and you supply the code to the thief therby negating the security system you have directly affected me. Kindly explain or have I missed something obvious here? As it is I don't get my hands dirty and I have no intention of doing so because a) Mines still under warranty :) Its a company car (my company though) c) It will be replaced befor the warranty runs out ao the TIS is purely for interest only. Regards - JB
  10. The TDi engines produce way more torque than any V6 (V6 drivers certainly have more talk though), they obviously know naf all about diesels. Strange how most of the petrol heads seem to need to convert to another fuel and then they chuck out their apare wheel. Very sensible chaps, really cool idea, well done. The ONLY advantage of the V6 is out and out acceleration, top speed and the lovelly sound, I don't need / want the first two and the last one I'd rather listen to the radio and but up with 45 mpg on a regular basis. Have a nice day. JB
  11. Oh please, please, please can I differ, it would mean such a lot to me and I could help all of the starving people in the world and bring peace to all
  12. I know where you're going, yes I do.
  13. Air in the fuel line? I fly jet turbine powered models, if we get an air bubble in the fuel line it falmes out and then pours out smoke (unburned fuel). If the metering pump is sucking in air, when the air bubble gets to the burner the flame will go out, then the fuel is injected into a now extinguished heater. Just a thought. Regards - JB
  14. Thats EXACTLY what should happen, unfortunately most dealers rob us blind and the program for decoding is available on the net which renders the potentially good security feature next to useless and that effects ALL OF US. Regards - JB
  15. If it's the outer edges of the tyres it's tracking or geometry If it's the edges of each tyre it's low pressure. If it's the centre of each tyre it's high pressure. Regards - JB
  16. Air leaks into the inlet manifold also cause this, check the vacuum piping to servo etc. Regards - JB
  17. None of what I said was personal at you at all, if it was taken that way I apologise. In my 2.5 years of Galaxy ownership I have had only one fault which occured last week but I have still done over 1000 posts. Surely you can see the logic, low posts, (must admit I hadn't spotted you've been a member for quite some time) ? I'm pretty sure most if not all of the posts we have had requesting codes are genuine but it doesn't hurt to be a little nore cautious which I know you mentioned in your opening message. My blood pressure aint rising at all, in fact I'm quite relaxed with a nice mug of steaming tea enjoying one of my favourite forums. Apologies for any offence which really was not intended, merely a request for members to be a little more responsible. I have in fact given codes out but only to people that have PM'd me and convinced me they are genuine or ones that have been on here for a while. Look on the bright side, you've now doubled the number of messages that you've posted, go off and celebrate (in silence of course  ) Regards - JB
  18. But if he did we'd fall over ourselves to give him the code  Regards - JB
  19. I agree it's too late, they may as well not be there any more, it just doesn't help the situation at all does it, new member, only three posts yet he gets the codes or pointed towards the software. Surely you can see, the fact that he's asking here means he doesn't have the software, doesn't know where to get it from. Not on my high horse, just hate criminals having had 2 sat nav systems stolen from vehicles. I personally feel the moderator if we have one should ban such messages. Regards - John
  20. Unless of course it's YOUR radio thats been nicked or you walk around with a white stick, dark glasses and a labrador. Regards - JB
  21. A bit like the female > male sex change operation:- strapadicktome
  22. I would have to disagree with that (I'm sure that won't come as a suprise!). Brakes work on pressure, the travel does nothing for the feel, what you want is progressive retardation the harder you press. Pedal movement does nothing other than slow down your response, 70mph = 105 feet per second, if pedal travel is long it could easily take 2/10ths of a second which equates to over 20' of travel. So if you're unfortunate enough to stuff something up the backend, that pedal travel if sorted may have avoided it. All hypothetical I know but it COULD happen and it COULD have been avoided. Regards - JB
  23. Sounds like an eBay vendor
  24. Wear what you like mate, if you're happy driving around with sub standard brakes thats up to you, so long as you don't endanger me or my family thats fine. Regards - JB
  25. How do you bleed breaks, never done that one, my experience has been limited to brakes and clutches
