Heater matrix would be my favourite too, although OP could also check scuttle drains, for wet cabin filter, etc.

Thay do look nice - I test drove an S-Max, which should be similar to drive, and was impressed by the ride and quietness compared to my Mk2. I agree with Mum about the interior, especially the rear seats and seat back arrangement. I'd be worried about that as a taxi. (What area in Ireland, larryo?)

Assuming it is 'live', if you can insulate the bare end of the wire in the car it'll be safe until you can make a proper fix. Unfortunately, to reach the wiring you'll have to have the B-pillar trim off and maybe carpets up - the wiring loom won't have any slack in it. Please be careful! Car batteries have enough amps to melt metal, let alone set a fire. Disconnect the battery before you start work. Sorry, but I'm about the leave the country until Thursday... I hope others can assist. Vanbursta could be your man!

Just had a quick look... The red/yellow wire runs between the window switch 'up' contacts and the control module. The broken end in the door is connected to the switch, and will be voltage free if the switch is not operated. The broken end in the car is connected to the 'Multifunction' module and might be a 'live' feed or might be earth feed, I can't tell... Do you have a multi-meter or a bulb and two bits of wire? Then you can see if there's any voltage there...

I've posted about this before. :) The VW/Ford (odour filter) part is thicker (as Tim-Spam says) than the motor factors variety. The way to get it to fit is to feed both the filter and frame through separately, push the filter into place first, then clip the outer frame into place. As T-S says, they won't feed through pre-assembled.

If it's just a circlip, you could try a metal fastener or bearing suppliers. A quick search on Yell.com, I found: http://www.toolbankexpress.com/shop/turnerfix/ There are many, many more in Manchester.

I had a Belkin router. Had so much trouble with it, in the end I threw it away and bought a Netgear unit. I've had no problems at all with the Netgear. Mind you, my home network isn't wireless. I had so much trouble with my Belkin wireless set up that I went out and bought a network cabling kit and hard-wired it. I swapped the Belkin wireless for a Belkin wired DSL Firewall router...and it still wouldn't work properly. There seems to be a theme going... :lol: It seems that Linksys and Netgear, at least, make good networking kit.

Now, now. I'm sure you'll fix it before you have to resort to buying a diesel. :rolleyes:

I have a 19" widescreen, with DVI but only 1440 x 900. IMHO this is a bit coarse. (I used to use a Iiyama Vision Master Pro CRT). I'm saving up for a 20" with 1680 x 1050. :ph34r:
