Last year when I had my L.W.B Semi high Tansit I rang the Council and they sent me a form to fill out that allowed me to use the tip 12 times a year, it was a bit of a pain but without it they would'nt let me tip. Bonus was every now and then I would do a garden clearence and make a few bob. ;)

I knew some one who had a Sharan and they had owned it for 18 mths and were not aware that holding the key over did the windows as well.

If your windows close and open if you hold the key in the lock/unlock position then you can buy a remote that will do that and it is very easy to install yourself , the lights flash to let you know if it has armed the cost is about

If you do a search on front wheel bearings there is lots of info on this topic.

My point being if you are speeding you should be alert,ie not on a mobile phone not changing your cd on the stereo or trying to tune into a better radio station or gazing into your partners eyes thinking about the night ahead  . But at the end of the day MM is quite correct Don't speed.

I laugh at people who get caught by mobile speed camera's unless the copper is hiding behind a tree and jumps out at the last second,a friend of mine was telling me that he was worried becouse if he gets another point on his licence he will lose it and had just been flashed,I asked him where was it he replied on a main street in town a static one, he could'nt understand why I laughed at him,my view is if you can't see a big yellow box on the side of the road what chance do you have of seeing a small child.

I am either going to sell my VR6 Sharan and buy a diesel or get a gas conversion, If I were to go down the Tdi route what is the best engine to go for, any help would be grand  .

My views  I do not think that this site needs moderating as it mods itself. When someone post's an inaproprate post he/she will soon get put in thier place by other members. I use to be a member of Sunfly forum which was a forum for Karaoke host's, there was so much bitching and backstabbing that the owners shut the site down and we all lost out becouse of the few arseholes. I myself have had a few tate a tate's with other members but nothing that has worried me so don't let yourself get worried about nothing.

As mentioned in the last post (ie, stencils) I wanted to put some badges on my car but they were the dill hole type and not self adhisive so I brought a cheap plasic folder with the see through covers, I put the badges on that and marked the holes and drilled them in the folder the badges fitted perfectly so I used that as the template.Maybe you could adopt the same idea.

To change or top up the oil it needs to be at the right temp which is read through the dianostic port,to change or top up the oil itself no special machine is needed but it is not just a matter of pouring oil in.

Changing Thespark Plugs
Justice replied to Wayguns's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
There are 2 different plug sizes 5/8ths and 13/16th,if you are putting new plugs in the new plug will be the size of the old one's so that will tell you what size socket you need.(It should be 5/8th.) It is not a hard job changing the plugs although if you do not have the right tools it can make it difficult. You will need Torx bits, lead puller, a feeler gauge and the right size plug socket. -
Well done !!! Another bloody female on the road  . Seriously though well done on passing your driving test. :)

The thing that worries me about on line quotes with companies I've never heard of is, If I have a prang will I be waiting six months to get paid out a fraction of the cars worth.

Electric Windows Again
Justice replied to mark1rev's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
If you take the door panel off you will be able to see if you are getting power to the motor by using a multimetre, Chances are the motors are nackered a common fault with Shalaxys, -
I am sure if you disconect the battery so the aux power is also cut then after a few hours it will let you attempt to put your code in again, I say this becouse I had the same problem on my Transit and that is what I did to solve the problem only difference is mine was a 2006 RDS not a 2007.
