Good to hear you got it sorted....there is a mass of info in the archives if only people would spend a bit of time and used the search option as you did ! (sorry, a major gripe of mine on many forums!)

Camper...the instructions listed above are for XENON headlights not the standard halogens you have got fitted. If you do a search on this subject you will find that someone has posted the TIS info for the templates needed to mask the beam, print them out, cut them out and mask away!! The easiest way to do it though is to get a pair of the plastic headlamp protectors from the dealers, these have the areas that need to be masked etched into them so its just a case of filling them in. Sorry Danny... it just says under centre console which I presume would mean the handbrake/entertainment console...looking at the wiring diagram the main power to the entertainment module comes from fuse10 or fuse 32 (depending on year) but this then goes to the aux power point which is working...???...remember that the head unit sends a voltage to the entertainment module (from pin 7 in the power plug of the head unit) without this the screens/dvd will not power up...are you certain this voltage is coming from the head??
-
Sorry Danny...just going off the wiring diagram on the TIS....never actually looked for/seen it. Just looking at the TIS again and it contradicts itself and lists this fuse as being 'under centre console' but I would check the Aux power socket first, if you've got power there then the feed should be Ok to the player as it spurs off before the power socket...sorry can't be of more help..

Can be done noo probs...remember though that your sat nav will have VW cd changer plug as it is a rebadged Blaupunkt (VW) unit....
-
From what I can see this is the only other fuse in the circuit for the rear entertainment system...i take it you have checked the fuse in the main board? Either fuse 10 or fuse 32 depending on the year....

Dvd Player In Front Storage Box?
Marky replied to magician's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
I've got the satnav linked to the dvd....mainly for the sound output through the speakers but you can also watch the dvd...great for front seat passenegers....let me know if you want anymore info... -
The HU has a one hour timer when the ignition is off, this stops you draining the battery by leaving the radio on when you're not in the car, as the multimedia kit takes a voltage from the HU when it is on to enable it to power up just change this feed to a switched/permanent live think it is pin7 on the power module of th HU.

Ford Sat Nav & Pioneer Cd Changer?
Marky replied to a topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
The red button will enable you to watch dvd's on the screen whilst on the move if you've got one linked to it. Dunno if you can get a changer adapter lead to use the pioneer just remember that you have got a VW unit NOT a FORD one hence the changer connecters are totally different! You can get the changer leads from ebay then you'd have to source a vw->pioneer interface. Think you should be able to do it...
