  1. I passed an elderly, sorry, retired couple in a gal with the roof conversion on the m40 last Sunday...it had no rear seats in and was kitted out like a mini campervan complete with curtains at the windows!!
  2. They must have a sale on in September.... ;) Great price though...
  3. ;) I think it is time for us (as a forum) to get in touch with Bosch and buy a job-lot of MAf sensors cos all us oilburners will need one sooner or later..... ;)
  4. IIRC it was M*rc*d*s that were the first use use water based paint and bathed in the glory of being the first manufacturer to use this eco-friendly paint system.....kept it a bit quieter when they went back to solvent based paints because of this exact same reason...water based paints are too soft and susceptable to staining from bird c**p, tree resin, flies etc
  5. Nice to hear its all sorted.... Mark
  6. :( B) B) Haven't had and unexpected horn for ages B) :o :D Better speak to Howard about those tablets..... :D :D If nothing else they will assist with the shopping :D :D Mark
  7. Ivor, sounds like a guilty apology to me (abouth the Sierra's)!!! I remember standing in the pouring rain thinking....my god, these things are getting too complicated, you get a puncture and it cuts the petrol supply!!! Only walking home and reading the manual could I find the cut-off switch, cussed walking all the way back (still raining)!!! :D :D 879jtt...try and leave the unit somewhere warm as Ivor suggested for as long as possible then put it back in and leave it on for as long as possible, the heat generated by the unit will assist the drying. It will appear dull whilst still damp as the tft pixels are not getting to correct operating temperature... Mark
  8. Have a look in the New Members Introduction section, link below http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/Forum/index.php?showtopic=2748 this new member has just fitted one to his 90 bhp and seems well chuffed !!! Mark
  9. It was an option on the 2003 MY...now fitted as standard along with Dual Aircon and an extra Remote Key !!! Mine ain't got it either but with all that black privacy glass who needs it ???
  10. Could still be the face......take it out and clean the connectors with an electrical rubber (or very fine sand paper) and see how you go. If its not this I would take the unit out...unplug everything...re-plug it back in then try again...if it still does it the chances are it will be a fauly supply (broken wire or the likes) or a fault with the actual head unit... Mark
  11. Should've asked GSF while you were getting your oil....bound to be the same as the Sharan (but worth checking) if it is also try www.eurocarparts.co.uk www.vagparts.com If you get vagparts phone number off the site speak to Martyn (he'll probably be able to tell you if they are the same part) but he is a REALLY helpful bloke which seems a rarity in this day and age !!!! eurocarparts have more genuine parts at discounted rates than GSF Good luck Mark
  12. Having been an Audi owner make sure the cam belt tensioner is changed at the same time (they should advise this but you know what they are like !) My Audi A4 1.9 Tdi 115bhp was advised at 60K miles or FOUR years...whichever sooner. Mark
  13. Just read through the threads on diesel mpg/torque/general driveability (don't mention MAF's  ) and you'll soon see what all us oilburners think!! But, at the end of the day, it is your personal choice...the V6 is silky smooth, but when I drove one I nearly crashed it cos I was staring at the dash with disbelief as it was telling me I was getting 14 mpg !!!! Mark
  14. Hi....looking at the TIS the dealer will just 'mask' the headlamp beam... no physical adjustment to the headlamp itself... Mark
  15. Have a look here for all in car audio adapters..... www.autoleads.co.uk I think you can buy direct but Halfords also stock them as do most car audio stores..... Good luck.... Mark
  16. Best Fiver ever spent....keep it in the 'family' and send alarm man a fiver !!!
