They Say A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words
greg_68 replied to a topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
Because a; they are probably the same size proportionally b; they don't see anything wrong inbeing that size c; all there friends are the same d; he has a medical condition like all none normal kids have these days that can explain away anything from obesity to murder agreed they should be ashamed of themselves but do you think they care..if they did he wouldn't look like that in the first place. My daughter has friends who are obviously overweight ..like their parents and think nothing of it and do nothing about it. Me I'm lovely and slim the ideal weight for my height.....unfortunately for 4' 4" not 6' 4" -
This is quite a strange reoccurrence on Ebay. There was a similar one in silver not so long ago buy it now price was the same. I contacted the seller who was registered in the USA and said the car was in Italy. The thing that I notice with a lot of dodgy looking sales is the "don't contact me through my Ebay e-mail addy as it is playing up" No contact through Ebay means no comeback when they have f***ed of with your money. You know the saying if it seems to good to be true it probably is.....well it is. edit damn you MM

Tim I notice that like me you are in the bike carrier market. Are you looking for brand new or second hand as well. There is a cheap Thule 968 going on Ebay but is pick up only (like a fair few are) in London. Whereabouts are you and I will keep an eye out if you like. Cheers,

I was the highest bidder again..for the third time. Only 4 days till I "win it again". I wonder how many times they will relist it before they give in! Is it

Mis-described Ebay Bits & Bobs
greg_68 replied to Masked Marauder's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
That sounds well dodgy doesn't it. Contact him and tell him you have no option but to report him to Ebay and that if you hear nothing within 3 days negative feedback to reflect will be left. This usually moves it along a bit. Carry this out and leave the feedback do not be wooried about the repercussions. -

Here you go try these mate , i had my condenser supplied fitted and gassed here yesterday not a bad price , they also do recon compressors tell them i was in yesterday(mr mccarthy) as i mentioned this site and told them people might be interested if the prices were reasonable, let us know how you get on and if price was any good :P http://www.motorclimate.co.uk/ I can also vouch for these guys, I had near on a complete new aircon system fitted about 3 years ago now. Still going strong (why oh why did I just put that) Expensive I think but did an excellent job. I think I ended up spending that much money there the bloke genuinely felt soory for me by the end of it and actually done some little bits for free.

Ian, if it doesn't sell and you wanted my advice (even though you are obviously experienced at selling) I would set my start at -
For all you boffins out there in the Galaxy world.......no pun intended....ok it was then. There is a new Sun that is reported to be heading our way. :D hurrah warmer summers...for a short while anyway....then very warm summers......mmmmmm Ebay......choc ice sales......millionaire Rodney :D It say's in the paper it is 6 million/billion whatever times bigger than our own Sun. Question for you boffins out there cuz it's giving me a headache now. ;) How can you tell how big something is that is so far away. I understand how to measure the diameter of a distant object as long as you know the distance to it using angles and all that. But if you don't know how far away it is how is this possible. :D I assume that we must be able to measure how far away this new sun is from Earth. Can anyone explain how any of this is done...in simple terms.

I think you need to learn a little about ebay..... NEVER BID until the last 30 seconds or less and go in with your maximum bid. Don't look back until after the auction has finished, that way you get the item for the lowest possible price and you're not tempted into a bidding war. Regards - JB John I could take exeption to your comments as I have sold and bought approximately 1000 items since Christmas, so I like to think I know a bit, anyway it's your view and you are welcome to it. There are million ways to bid on Ebay and none of them are universally error proof. As some history I have won this car before twice but it never meets the reserve which I think is about

[The car itself was, well, just ok again. Never had any mechanical problems and everything worked ok but there is no comparison betwen the ride and comfort factor of a Galaxy and I hope you dont miss it too much. That is half the trouble with having a Gal. Where do you go to get something as comfortable and a great ride after they are gone as I'm not sure about the new ones yet. That is exactly my point of view, I am however willing to forsake a little comfort for reliabilty.

One of the reasons I like the look of the Picasso is that our site is littered with questions on faults that seem to be repeated over and over again on cars of all ages, indicating an inherent problem with any age car i.e aux heater, aicon etc. Reading through the sister Picasso site there doesn't seem to be the same sort of mass postings about the same fault. Most of the negative posts on there seem to stem around the build quality of trim inside the cabin. It is more important to me to have a reliable car mechanical wise than for the trim to be my main concern. I do admit that the trim in the Galaxy is far superior to that of the Picasso but then you are paying a hell of a lot more. All replies gratefully received.

I am bidding on this on Ebay and therefore maybe leaving the fold soon. Apart from the obvious anti-Citroen posts what do you guys think. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-CITROEN-XSARA-P...1QQcmdZViewItem
