Well 800 Miles In 5 Days And....
greg_68 replied to a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
If you feel there is a difference between 2 fuels/stations a good experiment maybe to get someone else to fill up your car (they don't tell you where from), run it to empty, then fill up at another one. Take the MPG and general driveability and see if it is really a difference or just your perception. -

Never mind Nik there's the 2 week Christmas holiday to look forward to and then it's all of 8 weeks until the next one. It's a tough life being a teacher.

Be very careful when buying stuff outside of eBay. You obviously have no comeback if you have any problems. Can I ask why you brought them outside of eBay gooner?
-
Blimey John you don't give people much of a chance do you? You can pick them up.....how can that be a scam? As HPE said we all had to start off with zero rating. There are loads of breakers coming into eBay now, they like the feel of hard cash not electronic payments.

Oh no I'm gonna be HPE's gimp  with that threat hanging over me now. The Picasso forum would never do a low down thing like that. p.s will post piccies later, had no time until tonight.

Only time will tell whether my Citroen turns out a better buy than my Galaxy. You may well be pleased with your Galaxy but the table is telling you that as a whole the Galaxy is a poor quality build vehicle. I do miss my Galaxy as it is without doubt the nicest car I have ever driven as far as comfort, driving and convenience go. What I do not miss is the regular component failure which over the 5 years cost me a fortune. I just couldn't live with the unreliability and threat of dropping me in the s##t whilst out with the family. The way I see it is that all vehicles suffer from failure rate but as you move down the list the chances of you getting a duffer increase. I see all to regularly people on this forum with much newer cars than I had are starting to suffer problem after problem. And yes the

Don't let her loose on them she'll get lost and end up in the Tiger enclosure. I ain't going to get her out.

Ian, could it be the switch? Which model/year is it? Do later Galaxys have auto lights?

Gotta say I could never have accused my V6 of being too powerful. (Don't think mine had traction control and it was a Ghia.) Dipso according to his sig he has an Auto. R2 when you select 1, 2 or 3 on an auto it doesn't go straight into that gear, it means it will not go any higher than the gear selected. i.e if you select 2 it will go into 1st and then 2nd as normal but no higher. p.s R2 have you swapped your Galaxy for a Land Cruiser?

Your middle one looks really impressed Greg :D Everyone commented on that but she was acting up her part as a vampire. Fair play to her she's 10 going 16 but she really joins in and still gets excited when a lot of kids her age feel stupid. Couldn't get the little one to stop smiling even though she was a witch.

Bassman loves nothing more than spending his Sunday mornings dipping his worm in the river hoping to catch something. Friends have commented on his small worm but Bassman doesn't take any notice he just lets it dangle out all day long. All he has caught up to date are 3 cautions and 2 STD's.

My postie is a Muslim so when he comes to the door I am going to speak to him through the letterbox see how he bloody well likes it. :21: As usual no offence intended just a joke

Thanks HPE. We will be me and the wife Annie. Three Kids Lucy 10 Ellie 6 Evie 5. It would be nice to get everyones real names and their kids ages and names so the kids can sort of 'know' who they are going to meet on the day. I'm gonna feel a right prat sidling up to someone with a Galaxy and asking are you HairyPlateEater or Bleeno. I got a black eye the last time I did something like that.

Hey Matt there's no need for that is there. (it's a Picasso not a Zafira, your getting me mixed up with my brother, gregers). We are also looking forward to it.

Big J's role as the Galaxy forum's joker has started to have effect on his home life. His wife has threatened to leave him if he continues to wear his outfit to bed every night.

I know technically I am not part of your gang now but I hope don't mind but I am coming too. If you wish to shun me when I am there that's fine. I will of course be parking with the rest of the lower class and not up on the hill with the almighty ones.

Whilst out shopping this afternoon Big J wished he could make it to the Safari park. He sat down for a while and tried to think of someone to go with..........VR6 maybe.....maybe not you guys are uncanny in your reflection of me....it's beginning to scare me now.

HPE's Philishave broke last month, HPE was wondering whether or not leaving it till Christmas to replace it was such a wise move after all. p.s where are you lot getting my photo's from, HPE amd M04 are you in touch with the missus. p.p.s I know that most people have posted photo's of themselves in this is me section but I think a brilliant thread before that started would have been to find a photo of what you think each member(ooh er missus) looked like.

T is trying to boost her income. She had the idea of starting up her own dating agency. I think putting herself up for the first date may backfire tho. (sorry T, things are starting to get personal now aren't they). I love it.

man that hurt gooner.......I'll get ya back.....one day. Anyway, gooner cried only last week when his mummy put ham on his work sandwiches. She should have known that Thursday is DairyLea day. The big boys pick on gooner at work and last Friday stole his four fingered KitKat. His mummy is going in to sort them out. p.s do you think my XL Arsenal shirt with Platt on the back is worth much, it is of course signed by the god himself. Got a fiver for my Yorke one on eBay.

1996 Galaxy Front Wipers
greg_68 replied to big_ralge's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
John do they move at all when you try them or is there no movement at all. Siezed spindles are common but I thought that was confined to later cars than yours. I had the same problem as you, same year car, but mine would jump about 2 inches at a time each time I tried to use them, all the way to the top then back again. This turned out to be the control module that is located by the wiper mechanism and is connected to the wiper motor via a loom. Bought one off Ebay for
