erm i take it YOU do have the under tray fitted?? if not then get 1 asap,common problem for failing steering if one is not fitted,search forum for various threads on the subject.

IF THE CAR IS NOT AS DESCRIBED then you can demand a refund,iirc this comes under the sale of goods act. if there are no faults with the car,then it comes down to your research or lack of it. i had a 2ltr petrol and to be honest think the most i got out of it was around 25 to the gallon,NEVER AGAIN. count your self lucky you havnt got a v6,mind you it gets you there before youve even left. :)

whats the red light doing on the door when you try to start the car? also the smoke is that comming from the exhaust or from the booster heater? if booster heater then i would say it needs a new glowplug.(you need to read up on this)its a small thread. the fuse box under the bonnet,do a search on this plenty of info about the wire/s burning out etc.

has your rear heater started yet?if so when thats running your fuel average will go down, have you tried giving it a bloody good thrashing ?italian tune up to blow the crud out?

it might need a new brake switch,this may well stop the glow plug light from flashing.

welcome to the forum, thats good mileage for a 03. iirc it should be done at 60k or 5 years. but this depends on when your car was built as there was a change over on that year from 40k. im sure there is a post about this somewhere on the forum.

i have a rattle from 1 of my seat belt holders,

try using the key to see if global opening/closing works. it may just be the wires in the door gaitors that have frayed/broken. is this from a dealer ? if so get them to fix anything you find not working. if its a private sale,do you know anyone who knows there way around cars? any problems found could then be used to discount it. the air con COULD be very expensive to fix,or as said just require a re gas??

you sure the rear window opens,did it have vents in the rear head lining?if so then that window will not open as this model galaxy has duel aircon.? which then means that the panel flashing is either a simple regas or something more sinister??.

might be better to wrap with self amalgamating tape.its the stuff the sky installers use.

wouldve thought it would turn out to be a total nightmare. and cost a fortune to do???

i do agree with chris,BUT personally i would be taking my car back to where the SO CALLED SERVICE was carried out and have a bloody good winge at them. and say if they had done the job properly then why has it leaked out??? they may well come back and say WELL it was a ok on the day,if so then bad luck and follow advice given by others, :45:

ah,if your running explorer then this forum dont like it,try using firefox or chrome or any others they seem to be able to open the faqs with no problems.

well try starting it again while watching what the red light does,as this is an indicator (if working)as to what the imobilizer may be doing.
