  1. in the faqs you will find a detailed post/thread on splicing/soldering wires back together.
  2. global closing/opening is a standard feature on these cars.have you checked all fuses? if its working from using the key but not from the switch, then i would rule out any problems with the motors, so that brings you back to a wiring fault? have you checked the wires from the actual switches? just a thought,if yours is a mk1 have you checked under your passenger seat for a swimming pool?
  3. this may help, www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php/topic/5156-help-needed-gear-cable/#entry35431
  4. look on ebay, there come up all the time. look under alhambra and sharan aswell.
  5. isnt the idea of adding 2 stroke to the fuel an idea that was used in colder climes? surely adding to modern engines now could compromise the running of the engine, especially with all the ecu's keeping a check on emissions etc would they end up throwing a few tantrums??
  6. mine went a bit stupid over the weekend, try spraying some silicone lube in the window channels and see if this helps?
  7. Thanks Gregers All working now
  8. welcome to the forum, glad to have you aboard.
  9. do you have any kind of warranty on this car? if so then i think you will have invalidated it by attempting a repair.
  10. ah ha a name from the past, hasnt been on here for ages hows he doing ;) ;) :D glad its sorted buddy.
  11. WOW you seem to have been to hell n back, that sucks about the dealer. you obviously know your stuff, im clutching at straws but you havnt mentioned anything about tyres??? and whether you have rotated them? im sure someone with more technical knowledge may be able to give you some more advice, good luck and keep us informed.
  12. like wise,if you do dont forget to take piccys.
  13. look here as said found in the faqs, take a look there may be more, www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php/topic/8401-checking-wires-from-door-to-pillar/#entry64104 www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php/topic/1485-coding-a-sharan-remote-key-fob/?st=0entry9914
  14. you may of fubared the lock itself? they do repair kits on ebay. have you taken the door card off to see whether anything has come off the back of the lock itself?
  15. A SHARAN IN A GALAXY FORUM WELL I NEVER, welcome to the forum, you will find plenty of other sharan owners on here ;) as big dave, take a looksie in our faqs found in the technical section. the key may need to be reprogrammed to the cars central locking, instructions are in the faqs. is there not a lever on the side of the seat near the bottom that you pump up/down to alter the seat base positioning ??
  16. i would take a looksie on the ford focus forum. they will have a better understanding as they are a dedicated forum.
  17. pete,if your near me i have a compressor in my garage minus the clutch, was told when i bought it was working fine???? would save you lots of pennies?
  18. fingers crossed then, try giving it a Italian tune up 3rd gear and hold it for 20 mins if possible at high revs. just incase it was a dpf issue. and as of yet there isnt a manuel for yours or the smax.and dont hold your breath thats a laff as it took haynes years before they bought out 1 for the mk2.
  19. where/who did you buy it from? if a garage take it back to them to sort out. if private i still think?? you may have some kind of recourse. but check out your legal rights under the sale of goods act.
  20. have you had a looksie at the alarm module, iirc found under the passenger wheel arch? my smax does this from time to time, especially when cold/wet.so im wondering if moisture is getting in??
  21. sorted into the correct part of the forum. one question.is it still not under warranty?
