  9. keep bluffing them im sure your get it even cheaper :D
  10. over the years it has been discussed about warrentys etc, there are posts on the subject, the consensus was once you have enquired about it,they will keep on pestering you BUT the price does come down, depends on how far you want to push it :D ;) :D
  11. check the wires where they go into the bulk head, there is a black block,do a search it has been covered many times, iirc the unit works the alarm/central locking and possibly global closure of the windows, but check the wires in the doors first.
  12. yeah id go for that,im sure ive read somewhere that they can be prised out, which is a pig to do no doubt,OR you could obtain a whole new connector block from a scrappy with longer wires and then connect them up?
  13. STEVE,pmsl :D :D :D have you got a code for that??????????????? ;) kev yeah your right there buddy :D
  14. title sorted for you does the door unlock on the key?if not then the wires through the bulkhead to the door are probably broken(use the search facility)loadsa posts on the subject and i think its also in the faqs, have you checked ALL THE FUSES iirc theres 3 banks on them 1 under each other.
  15. well after losing our last dog,we felt we needed to offer a home to another, and were lucky enough to be able to rescue this one, weve had her a few weeks now and shes exelent with the kids and has a lovely nature about her, shes about 5 mths old.
  16. there is loads of posts on this subject,im sure that on the mk2 the unit was moved up under the bulk head,so im assuming you both have the mk1,iirc it controls central locking/alarm and im sure it has been said before that if you catch it in time you can dry the unit out in the airing cupboard,im sure its also been said that someone CAREFULLY drilled some holes so it cannot fill up with water again BUT CHECK THE THREADS BEFORE ATTEMPTING,also mentioned that when putting back put some washers underneath the unit to lift it up a bit,do the research before you go ahead with anything. hth.
  17. im sure i saw some on there today, think it was past 3-4 days though.
  18. check on ebay, and dont forget to to type in alhambra and sharan.
  19. all you need to do is solder some extra wire to the broken ones and heat shrink it,which you can buy from maplins this has been covered many times on here, havnt gt a clue on how much a new wiring loom would cost, maybe your big toe or your whole foot :o certainly easier to join some wires then replace the whole lot.
  20. iirc yes you can replace the glass roof without removing the headlining, there is a detailed post in the faqs in the technical section about replacing the whole sunroof and mechanism but that should help you quite a bit, hth.
  21. 1 happy bunny then.
  22. :46: :) just told this 1 to my missus,well chuffed she was :o
  23. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LOSE THE PATS CHIP,small black thingy,or your be fooked. ebay is a good source for remotes, make sure you get the correct one all the details should be on the side of your own remote, you can also buy blank keys from there.and take the blank to timpsons who can cut it for you for
  24. dunno if this is for your model, but iirc there has posted before that the sensor is behind the passenger headlight?
  25. true...... which has been discussed in various posts on here.
