well my heart bleeds for you ;) ;) ,but not that much if you can afford to buy new every year you are bound to be hit rather aggresivly,i was allways lead to believe that the the 1st owner always bore the brunt of losing the most,wouldnt it be more economical to buy nearly new??? that way you will be able to keep more of your hard earned in your pocket rather then giving it to the robbing barstuwards?? what car are you going for now??? also i think the way it is going i dont think your be able to be certain on any car that will hold on to its value,unless you go for a city car that does 80mpg and road fund at 25 quid a year.

iirc someone posted about mending theres by taking it apart and checking/cleaning the insides,but then again my memorys going.

SPARKY,im afraid i didnt catch the load index so your probably right in what you say,i was just amazed they wernt stamped extra load but hey as they say your always learning.

use the key, had this at the weekend batteries were flat,funny thing was i was expecting to have to re sync the remote to the car(batteries were out for at least 20mins)fitted new batteries hey presto everything working nicely. OH AND BE CAREFUL YOU DONT LOSE THE PATS CHIP.

i can appriciate what your saying kev,but what i was angling at was the chrysler weighs more then the galaxy,my m8s car had the same size tyres then my car.

if it doesnt look like your other 2 galaxys then yes its a mk3 i know that the sharan and the alhambra are still on the mk2 shape.

or buggered it up fully ;) :P

i wouldnt really know wether they are the same,but bearing in mind a lot of the parts are shared across the cars you never know.

hi wyn welcome to the forum,do a search on the forum to see if your problems have already been suffered by others if no joy then post away with your problems to see if anyone can help.

if your asking then id have to say you havnt done a search on the forum yet,1 thing i remember is DO NOT TOUCH IT until you know what your doing i:e disconnecting the battery and everything else thats invovled with it.

have you just looked under galaxy on ebay?dont forget to look under sharan/alhambra as well who knows the price might be chaeper.

now now boys as pointed out,everyone has there own opinions on tyres and you will never change there minds no matter what,i personally will buy what i can afford at the time as long as they are the correct load rating and confirm to my insurance cover ect.each will wear out at different rates depending on the style of driving. on a footnote a friend of mine has got a chrysler voueger 3lt auto and its a bloody big car(or appears to be)and that runs on normal tyres and not extra load ones,WHY does the galaxy have them when a car like the chrysler doesnt?

hi and welcome from me also,yes ive had a mk1 then im afraid i did disert the brand and went for a vauxhall zafira(great car)just to small for our needs so i bought a mk2 ghia tdi.i think once youve had a good 1 then its very hard to get another car that your be completly happy with.

whats the tyre wear like?just wondered if the tracking could be out????shot in the dark really. pad warning light could be a brake in the wires on the pads/or pads fitted without wear indicators if this i think you just bridge the connection to turn the light out. aux heater DO A SEARCH ON IT im pretty sure this problem has been posted before :wacko: could be glow plug. air con do you have climate control if so does the panel falsh if so could be in need of a refill? radio the aeriel is in the rear passenger side window could be a broken/loose wire or just plane knackered. squeaky dash pack it out with folded paper/card .
