try pulling on the bonnet latch/handle,get out of the car and lock it then open bonnet hopefully this should set the alarm off(if you have 1),if you take a look under the passenger seat you should find the central locking ecu/alarm ecu,iirc if you have 3 blocks of wires comming out of it then you have an alarm if only 2 then just an immobilizer.

wasnt a few of them banned by glen for you know what a couple of years back,but as there posts still stand in the archives etc there tagged as guests????

not having an undertray fitted has been a problem posted on here quite a few times over the years,and the consensus is make sure whoever carries out the servicing on your car is MAKE SURE THEY BLOODY PUT IT BACK.

its ticking over nicely,but when you go to pull away it seems hesitant and the revs drop,above say 1500 revs it pulls like a train with no problems.i used to be able to gently take my foot off of the clutch and slowly build up the speed going through the gears,but at the moment it dosnt want to build up the speed without pressing the accelorator pedal then it seems to cough unless i ride the clutch and keep the revs up,as said seems to disapere above 1500 rpm, im clutching at straws but could this be the idle control valve(does a tdi have one)?if so would this cause the symptoms im experiancing?or a sensor somewhere?

hi peeps need a bit of advice plz,seem to be having a few problems with the car doesnt seem to be ticking over properly,and when you go to accelerate it seems to want to stall,i dont know what im meant to be looking for or where?any pointers plz on what it could be and what im meant to be searching for or any knowledge on how to fix it,many thanx in adavance regards gregers

mmm me thinks it could be a wire problem,just because youve had it changed i wouldnt rule it out??????

if they have sold you an inferior car which was advertised as a higher spec ghia then i think your next port of call should be the trade and standards peeps who im pretty sure will back you to the hilt and give the supplying dealer a very painful slap round the legs.have you got any proof of advertising of them saying it is a ghia,as they say pen is mightier then the sword.

is that to soak up the blood coming from there ears when its turned up, oh to take it down to your local mcdonalds at 11.30 and blow all the chavs away,that is some impressive kit.

afaik this is something only admin have access too.and glen is out f the country at the moment,ill email maz so she can try and deal with it.

i agree this really isnt something i think you should spend vast ammounts of your hard earned at a stealers,if it turns out it is the wires then this is really basic to sort out(if you can wire a plug :) )then this really isnt much harder.

the other key you have starts the car?if so you will find that that key also has a pats chip inside it,so you should be able to program(pats)another key (remote or standard) iirc when new what was supplied with the car was 1 remote key.1 standard key.1 tiny black thing(key)and this also had a pats chip in it. so from reading what you first posted,get a new blank get it cut and follow(carefully)the instructions on programing the new key to your car.good luck.

iirc you need 2 keys (which you have)to program others,follow the instructions in the faqs. dunno if you have bought a new key blank from ebay,i did and got timpsons to cut the key for about 7-8 quid.

hi admin since the updates etc when you play a game in arcade it will not let you submit the score keeps on taking you back to the home page.gremlins i think?

where did you purchase the panel from?any chance you can get your dosh back by stamping your feet and saying its not new?worth a try.
