have you used decent quality links,im sure its been posted before that someone changed theres only for the noise still to be present,they changed them again and the noise stopped? thats why i said links.

drop links,do a search on here about them common problem.BUT the consensus is to get decent quality ones.

see if the supplying dealer will have the car overnight to check what the problem is first thing in the morning.

I would also be suprised if you can get just the button - VW and Seat won't be able to help though, neither the alhambra or sharan have the upper glovebox's its purely a ford thing. DOH of course it is wot an ass i am. :lol:

Least when we go to sunny Wales in August I can use it. doubt it with all the traffic jams :P :lol: glad its all sorted and didnt dent your wallet too much.

i have a funny feeling that you will have to aquire the whole lid assembly rather then the button,but i could be wrong(in my house anyway)try freuds or vw or seat,or try looking on flea bay under the same headings . srafferty the reason you cannot see the pic is because you are a newbi,once you have posted iirc 5 posts you will see what you want.

normally iirc a flahing unit means it needs a regas.it is rather strange that when you mended the wires the aircon suddenly worked but hey these cars all do weird and wonderful things that are unexplainable :lol:

take it back to the garage and tell them to sort it.

or if the clutch plate is sitting in your under tray?

iirc air con will only work at around 6 degrees im sure its on here somewhere.

you havnt change the battries in your key recently have you????

how long have you owned it nigel???you might be able to get the supplying dealer to stump up the dosh for the replacement under the sale of goods act,i:e you bought a car at the rate after the dealer said they had paid for the belt to be changed!!!!you never know it might save you a few bob??? also iirc the belt doesnt need to be changed until 60k or 5 years,they changed to interval from 40k to 60k in early 2003.

Must admit I'm totally confused by the "wet under the seat" comment. (but it's dry !!!) this is a design fault,the rear wash pipe(which has a join in it right above) runs beside the central locking/alarm module which is under the passenger seat,take a look in the faqs in the technical section. check the fuses in the engine bay aswell?

have you checked under the passenger seat to see if its wet?

iirc somewhere on here has been listed the fuses on both mk1 and mk2,good luck theres only a few threads to go through.

all will be reveiled somewhere in the thread on here,when you say every thing else working once fuse is pulled the booster heater will not work.
