you will need to have the aircon system bled/removed ,i was told that aircon(fluid???)is extremley nasty stuff. i didnt know that fords done a clucth kit, learn summit every day.thanx teach. but does seem that fords are aware of the problem of failing compressors?????
nowing from whats been posted about pipes to do with the aircon its bound to be expensive, but also be aware you will need to have your system refilled iirc kwikfit are still doing there deal.
the rubber boot at the top of the hatch when you open is the prime suspect, the wires and pulled so tight that they fray and snapped, this is a known issue that has been posted numerous times on here, hth.
take the key apart(gently)make sure your over a table, and see if you can find a black chip in the side of the key part(horse shoe section),if not its missing.
wires in the rubber boot could be the cause, been posted endless times take a look in the faqs and its in there,as to the door card as far as i know you just have to pull it?you can get a special tool to do this but be aware you will probably need to get some new fastners.
whereabouts are you?try a local independant tyre fitting place.i:e a back street jobby they might do it for you,i had some fitted a while ago they wernt happy about doing it(blame culture etc).
how does a car between aug 2006-16 april 2007 lose 25k and now another 31k???? either the speedos counting back or its had a couple of clocks change or its been tampered with.but imo for 4.5 k i wouldnt touch it.
yep i agree about not accepting the 1st offer,do you have any receipts for work carried out recently?or anything thats been added to the car to make it look better?.
do a search on cv joints on here it might throw up some of the symptoms that your suffering from but im not an expert im afraid, one of the experts will no doubt post and be able to offer some great advice and info.
