well ive got the smax, which is smaller then the galaxy.but ive never got anywhere near the fuel economy of my old mk2. no the uk spec versions dont come with a aux heater. as the mk3 is relatively new,any problems are slowly coming up on forums like this 1.and on certain forums that info is locked, paying customers only. as my seats are half leather there a lot more comfy then the missus old 60 reg zetec smax she had,yes felt rather hard.

if yours has a dpf then unless it gets upto temp for a regen then all the gentle and short runs will in the end knacker it,dunno about the galaxy but ive read that a lot of cars have to lights on them to either say it doing a regen or it needs to do 1,OR its gone past the point of no return and then requires an expensive fix at the dealers. as the saying drive it like you stole it sounds funny,it costs you nothing so i would defo give it a go,when doing it look in the rear mirror to see how much crud gets burned off,you will be surprised. good luck hope it works.

Roof Leak, Water Pouring In, Panoramic Roof
gregers replied to B@rnstormer's topic in MKIII Technical section
wonder if the gutters are full of crud? reason why i asked about recalls is in that link they did have a problem with the glass roof coming away from the body of the car. so maybe go down to your local dealer and ask for some info, maybe just maybe you get someone who is happy to help?.
