When i had my mkII i use to put 40psi all round but found that they use to go a touch bald in the middle. I reduced it to 38 psi and i got even wear, but the car wasn't used that much for heavy loads. I had dunlop 2020e all round (215/55HR16s) if thats any help to you. :)

Hi, welcome to the forum. One thing i liked about the galaxy was the ease in which i found it to park, considering it's size it was easier than parking a small car although mine was a mkII with parking sensors. I bet you could tell us mum ! Is the mk1 easy to park or was your veccy better ???? I hope when you get your first gal (if that is what you choose) you get many trouble free miles enjoy browsing through the forum.

I had the same problem with mine. Mine would accelerate ok up to 300 rpm then slow right off and in the higher gears it would not go over 3000-3500 rpm and top speed could not be attained ( i was told :16: ).I thought it was turbo related and looked into cleaning it. I never got round to it as i got rid of it in the end before i could do it (problem solved :16: ). I don't think it will be maf related as i change mine and there was no change in the performance. I also felt i was losing a bit of fuel economy althought it had done 167000 miles (i was certainly losing coppers from my Pocket bl***y fuel prices). Having said that when my maf went the car would only do 80 but i had a code on my reader !

Hi scrote, Sorry to here that the plug i sent you didn't fix the problem. I have read on here somewhere that someone cleaned it out. That is worth a try cos that costs nowt but your time mate. If you need to stop the smoke while you are driving pull number 12 fuse. Steve

I would just like to add that when i had my concentric slave cylinder and clutched replaced the clutch pedal was easy to press but hard before.

I'm no expert but i wonder if you need an concentric slave cylinder. May be worth looking it up. If that gets fitted then it might be worth having a clutch at the same time anyway as you might find it may be worn.
