Look at the reviews of them all on the net. They will give you a good guide. Mercs are not always the best. Mum thought of one then someone said they weren't quality and bits broke on them. I looked at the review on the net and in fact it was a known problem. The merc gives you the feeling that your driving a van. The galaxy i owned gave me feeling i was driving a car and thats why i liked it so much. (mkII)

I totally agree. These 2 cars will be so different on fuel, handling, performance, looks & quality of build and not to mention price got to be worth a test drive in both.

You could try GSF. (german swedish french) I'm not 100% sure they will have one but if you ring a local branch they are pretty helpful and may point you in the wrong direction. Then there's ebay or a ford breakers. I wouldn't try frauds they will rip you off. Vw might be cheaper anyway as they are for most things i hear.

I would only have a diesel. Even though the fuel price is more the fuel cost will still be less to run it. If it was me i would shop around and do what mum did look on ebay etc.... I would only have the 110 version in the mk1 because in my view the 90 is slow and not got much nuts.There are many good deals out there.

There must be a leak somewhere. That just seems far to warm to me. I went to a garage to get mine regased and they said everything was working ok. I got it home left it over night then went to work the next day. On my way back from work i used the aircon. Blooming thing did not work it was too warm. There was a leak and they would have seen that because i paid extra for a dye to be put in that shows up if you use ultra violet light. In the end they denied there was a leak when they had it and i lost my money (72 quid). Thats my moan over ;) . You can't get much thicker than a kwik-fit fitter :lol: . Aircon is a common problem so somneone will be able to help more.

Im sure this has been mentioned before somewhere on here (i might be wrong :lol: ) the answer was the same it went out very quickly too. This must be normal.

I had a MKII and it did not beep either. I know the alarm worked it went off a couple of times when i left the windows down and the wind went through and set it off. That is a good way to check that it is working. :lol:

I meant to put MKIII but now i am a volvo owner my eyesight is fading and my memory :lol: ;) Right im going back to in my comfy chair now getting my slippers on and getting the pipe lit. :)

You must check which type of glowplug you have first before you buy so that you get the right one for yours. One is a main dealer part and one is not.

I'm glad to here that you have no problems with your MKII gal (i knew there was one out there :lol: :) ) I like the MKII as i owned one up until recently it was a fantastic looking motor. The mkIII is ok but i would rather own a volvo (hold on i do own a volvo !!! ;) ). I hope you continue to have no problems.
