I have not bought VAG-COM for the gal but i would think that most people believe that ebay is cheaper than ross tec. I would recommend them checking all places first as sometimes you are paying a bit more for things on ebay and people don't realise that things can be found cheaper elsewhere (by the way i have not checked for prices).

I remember you joining here paul a few weeks ago. You bought your gal from a garage so i would suggest that if it is a big problem take it back armed with what could be the problem as you should have some form of warranty even if it is a month. (i hoping this would be covered under it)

I have had problems in the past with the gal when trying to start it. It use to start perfectly, then all of a sudden it became very rough with a nasty grating sound. I felt it may be the starter motor so i took it out and found that the teeth on the end were slightly worn. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't. Well after getting a replacement starter motor it was all fine until now. Now when i start the gal it stutters a bit, Struggles to rev up the first time i try, and after becomes perfect then. This only happens the first time i try to start it everyday. I hope i have helped you and can anyone help me ?

I totally agree. Once you know what car you are having you just can't wait for the day you pick it up. It is a d5 2.4 163bhp. Here is my one and only picture of it but i will post more when i get the motor next week. The price in the window is no where near the deal i got (my mate is the principle dealer ;) ) http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i97/christie7001/myvolvo.jpg What do you all think ?

Welcome to the forum. I have just parted company with my gal (mk2). You may be able to find a warranty on the net. Check the small print so that you get the one thats right for you. Hope you get many trouble free miles out of your new motor.

Well today i have finally gone and done it ! I have bought a new car and i am saying goodbye to my galaxy which goes next saturday morning. I have spent so much hard earned cash on on it recently to make sure it was perfect. I only hope that the next person that has it enjoys it as much as i did.

That could just be dirty, but on this occasion i would agree with you. The silver paint rubs off too if the wheel has been used alot

I got this feeling it will fetch more than that. Reserve seems very fair and the milage is low but i don't fancy the fuel bills....... Local driving hmmmmm.

To release the plug from the frame push it up. Yes the bolts go all the way in to the casing and if you want replacements go to the dealers. The glowplug will more than likely be part number 0100.226.340 this is a new uprated plug and if yours is the original one then the part number will say 228 at the end IIRC. Check the glowplug before you buy as some may have wires fitted to them (2 wires) and they are main dealer only where as the others are not. If your plug is 340 dont go to the dealers you can find them cheaper. One last thing when you open the casing up be aware of the plug inside the tabs on it are fragile and break easily.
