you're welcome -
I can see no reason yet to close this topic, it is a debating forum some of the views expressed have been extreme and some interesting and some incredibly callow - but we are a cross section of society and surely we can expect that - why do you want to close the topic??? surely this is the essense of debate you can now respond, putting forward your arguments some of which may sway others who perhaps haven't formed opinions/not thought it through yet as with most debates you cannot change the main protagonists views

Working for a heat & vent company in the early 80's we had to remove two oil storage tanks from under Bournemouth college - tanks were 2m tall 5m x 7m steam cleaned & purged with nitrogen before we gas axed a hole in so we could work inside to out (little room outside), merrily cutting the 8mm plate into sections we noticed how warm it was becoming, despite all the precautions nobody thought to clean up the oil soaked sawdust between the supporting piers which we ignited with the torch. Its the only time that I have set a fire alarm off in anger - in the college exam season as well :( Shifting that plate and the tonnes of iron pipe/boiler section gave me some muscles to remember (but only for a year :) I love oxy/acetylene cutting :)

as long as both your othe keys will start and run the car then you can code a third (up to eight in total). But to do that you must have the correct mechanical key ie re-blade and cut (if possible) Pats key coding coding remote key You can't recode fopr pats operation without the correct blade but you may be able to code the remote by using one of your other keys for the first stage of the process having re-read your post I think you may be stuffed - the only way of getting another key programmed if you only have one that runs the car is to go to frauds and get them to put it on their wds 2000 m/c. I would recommend you do this because as it stands if you lose then only key that runs the car you will have to get it towed to a dealer etc
-
ok does it look like this ? for your reg car it needs to be a wireless (radio based) key like the above or a vw flip type key (some work others don't) it should have a pats chip inside which can be encoded to allow your car to start provided you have 2 keys that work
