  1. have a look at the oil filler cap to check for mayonaise - to rule out gasket - possibly a leak when thermostat open ?? so you cant see it initially????
  2. no never seen one - just try - you can edit if not correct or get a moderator to delete it if you can find one - rumour has it there's one in hungerford - oh no that was yesterday

  10. unlikely that it is the same unless thiongs have changed - the sensor in the natural gas detectors used to be a gauze which let the gas through which then ignited, ionised the air and the current detected, like a davy lamp the ignited gas cooled and couldn't ignite the gas outside of the gauze. air con gas is non-flammable AFAIK. Ps methane emitted by farts would be detected
  11. we've got 4 on our estate ... now where's that brick :D :D :D
  12. try turning ignition on to last position 3 or 4 times allowing glowplug light to go out each tim - without turning the engine over then try and start it, if it starts straight away it probably is glowplugs. Maybe air getting into a fuel line somewhere and it needs turning over a couple of times to clear it although this doesn't seem a common galaxy problem.
  13. If you lift the nozzle up there is a little valve at the bend of the filler pipe on the car which allows the air out of the tank faster and stops the auto shut off on the pump tripping - you can get a lot more fuel in - put
  14. the pump will automatically switch off - just keep the trigger pressed :D
  15. fill it up and set the trip to 0, when you've done 500 miles fill it up again :D - couple of days then if today's escapades are anything to go by :D
