  1. an some versions at least ther are two brake switches on the pedal possible one of them has a intermitent fault (when we picked our auto up it had been standing for a while and one/both either switch kept sticking (controls interlock and stops it getting into gear) didn't know anything about it then - bloke from local garage used wd40 on it - been fine for 3 years
  2. possibly wheel bearing - try jacking up and see if there is any play in it

  6. no but take too long and it will lose the remote code - mind you this takes 2 min to reprogram - see the faq guarantee it will work did it myself 2 weeks ago :angry:

Umm well just seen the piccies on the other thread - definitely a mk2 I wonder when they changed from holeless to holed headrests then = shape look different to mk1 headrest which are rounded - looks likes 3 styles then - Live and learn :angry: (unless you're BJ then its live and leer :blink: :angry: )
  9. yes picture looks like the car end has opened a bit :angry: even if you cant - at least you can bolt it back on and it won't flap about - while you source a new spring ok..pinched fingers,sore hands, closed one end a bit left end furthest away from car open...why???coz its bloody hard!gonna try again. duck this time

  12. your spring is slightly different, it looks like the right hand end - top picture sould fit into the loop away from pivot - see my pic. While the hooks on yours don'tquite line up they may be better when its under some tension
  13. focus is nothing to do with resolutionn - take it outside and move a little further away (unless you have macro mode) with sun over your right shoulder
  14. look in the faq for removal of load area trim - picture on there

  22. How long did it take him without the time trials - I presume he just used some electronics to 'have a word' with the ecu ?
